yeppers that's the one. Had a seller with a 45.00$ price at a toy show he said the Monkey faced version was rare. I laughed walking away obviously he didn't know his stuff either.

The thing about futuristic helmet stores is that... if you're actually IN one... it's not futuristic anymore. It's nowistic. You're always going to be chasing that futuristic one... and you can never have it.

+Toy Galaxy what I usually do is just put myself in a box, drink some poison.. Or don't... Until I enter a state of quantum flux. Then I can be both in the futuristic helmet store and not be in it. Unless I really took the poison. Then I'd just be dead.

I blame Hasbro. Never knew it had a different head sculpt until the commenters on this video pointed it out. I guess, at this point, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they reissue him with the better head (not translucent) for his appearance in Rogue One.

I would say it is EXTRA the worst because Hasbro made the decision to reissue a BETTER head that you have to finish yourself to even recognize that it's a better head. I don't work for Hasbro. The ruling stands.

Darth Murder could of been a good idea if the translucent head that came with the left over Vader toys that Hasbro wanted to sell off. Better yet have it as a mail order two deal, where you get both it and a new regular head. Then they could save face if they give a formal apology for the first figure that now given a solution for. Hell if they mail out the heads for free, with a proof of purchase, they might even gain face.

Looks like I'm going to have to at least try it. Too many people have suggested that now. That said, even if it comes out AWESOME... I can't move it up the list because they didn't deliver it that way. THAT said... maybe they're thinking about reissuing it for Rogue One with a painted helmet.

+Toy Galaxy Of course. I hate fixing mistakes in a consumer product I spent good money on as well. However, I like doing custom work all the time (when I have the extra cash because collecting and costumes, is expensive, customs being the costlier endeavor) I have no issues though with doing my own paint jobs. Up to intense weathering. Both Vaders are both kinda shit in their own ways, but combining the best of both and adding some primer and paints, you get the best of both and have a definitive version of the character. And since I am not a "line oriented" collector....I don't care if I have to make the whole figure myself, I want a definitive version if I am buying only based on my attachment to said character,

Yeah but... *I* pay THEM to make figures. Why should I have to finish it? We start giving them that kind of leeway and they're just going to put out blanks for $60/figure.

I wish they would have made the Walgreens Exclusive the Emperor's Wrath Vader, but with a normally-painted helmet, since no one really wants an electrocuted Vader, and the original helmet needed a serious update. The chopped off hand would be a nice touch, so it would help with the $20 price. For me, though, my perfect 1/12 Vader is the Bandai Model Kit with the Black Series cloth cape. Even triumphs over the Mafex one, imo.

Haven't seen the Bandai Model Kit in person so I'll have to defer to the Mafex for now.

I really don't mind the Slave Leia THAT much. I give her a harsher grade because they really needed to nail that face paint and the paint master that they showed as a preview looked SO good (google it and you'll see photos).
