He explains that you get a bonus for winning the title and the pay gets better the longer you hold it. If you can keep that championship for a whole month you start making IC Title holder money. Hell, maybe after X amount of time holding it you earn a world title match. The belt just needs stakes.

Piper was one of those who felt he didn't need a title of any kind to be a main event talent. However, he didn't realize how much a title meant to him until he won the IC title.

If fiend HAD to win a belt, after winning it, he should have just "disappeared" it into his fun house. Never bringing it to any matches he had. Contenders should have had to have a firefly fun house match to finally win it back, ending the fiend.

Vince REALLY ought to bring the old TV Title into the line-up. There's a 30 minute match limit, so if the TV Champ can at least hold out, if not outright win, he STILL maintains his title... Or say the match expires in 2 seconds, but the champ is down for the 3 count, and time expires before the 3, he STILL wins, even though he's lost the match, so to speak... LOTS of clever ways to work it, but at the end of the day, Fans get a regular title match WITHOUT having to wait around for a PPV or special event. I always loved watching those TV title matches on Sunday afternoon with my dad... It was usually Arn Anderson or a Horseman who had the belt in the bad guys camp, and a variety of good guys taking their shot at some gold... Good times!😁

May be an unpopular opinion but I'd say Randy Orton's first world heavyweight championship win at Summerslam 2004 as WWE rushed to give him the tag of youngest wwe world champ as the previous was held by Brock who left the company a few months prior at WM20 , there was no good built to it , Orton even with his skills and association with Evolution was still building his wrestling resume and as WWE doesn't like outside names in it's record book he was slapped with the world championship , though it lead to a great rivalry and blueprint for the eventual Batista departing on his own (which was quite great), It didn't elevate Orton much as it did wonders for Batista at Mania , so It was just a rushed decision with no build pretty much , again it's my opinion , cheers 🍻
