Nobody is really in pro wrestling for a long time unless you reach Chris Jericho level stardom. Injuries happen for everyone no matter what really so as Darby Allin already lives as a risk taking skater. His style of bump taking really suits only him

I find Darby to be unwatchable. He's Marko Stunt but with intensity. Suspension of disbelief is hard to achieve when I'd consistently bet against a wrestler in a real fight with an average geek off the street. Guys like Darby are why there should be weight divisions. Try hards that lack size and creditability to carry the promotion shouldn't be relegated to KZfaq shows. I say give them a cruiserweight belt and let these guys build up the titles prominence by putting on the best matches every show, ala how Nitro used the cruisers to open the show with insane energy that could be carried thru to the main event. Eddie Guerrero wasn't made overnight. It took years of him showing off for fans to fall for him and even longer for the powers that be to recognize the love fans internationally had for the man. He was able to grow as a character and as a man (bulked up to believability) before taking over and dominating the main event scene. The Eddie people remember wasn't the same Eddie who was in opening matches in Mexico, ECW or WCW.

I still argue that the Shane vs Kurt match was the most intense and hardcore match in WWE history. Even the Foley vs Undertaker cell match was an intense, even if it was more dramatic. Because with Kurt vs Shane it wasn't just one or two spots. Shane was smashing against the glass a dozen times, again and again, for several minutes, until it finally caved. Not counting all the other crazy spots and hits they did. The fact that it's one of the most technically gifted and skilful ring workers ever going against the son of the most powerful, wealthy, and influential man in the industry makes it even more extreme. Kurt wasn't remotely known for hardcore matches, while Shane isn't even a wrestler and didn't remotely need to do this. All time classic, for all the right and wrong reasons.

Fun Fact: Angle was gonna drop the WWE Championship to Benoit before WrestleMania XIX, but before that, he met with a friend and his son, who was looking forward to watching Angle wrestle Lesnar, which is what made him change his mind.

WrestleMania was NOT a risk! Starcade was the first PPV done by the NWA and that was a success. Starcade proved the wrestling could work on PPV format, which means it was less risky situation Vince.
