The original sin Cara wasn’t wrong tho, they did make him change his style of wrestling, that and the fact that he couldn’t communicate to his opponent lead to his several botches. When he returned to Mexico, his wrestling was insane and there’s a reason why he was/is one if Mexico’s most famous wrestlers

If this generation of fans was around 20 years ago we’d never have Trish and Lita as two of the greatest womens wrestlers y’all want wrestlers to be ready made so they feel like factory made not natural and it doesn’t translate well the point of wrestling is to tell a story, to watch Trish and Lita get better over the years was so amazing to see but these women now don’t have that same air about them because they’re pretty much all stats maxed out when they first come in smh

As much as I love NXT prior to 2.0, I'd put Hideo Itami(Kenta) high on this list. The whole point of his debut in NXT was just to get to Finn Balor's debut. They had him do nothing but get beat b the Ascension from his debut to the time Finn Balor debuted and once Finn debuted, they did nothing with him. They basically treated Kenta like a guy who talks to a girl ONLY to get closer to her friend who he finds more attractive.

It all ended for him when he got his shoulder injury. After that, they never took him seriously again. Same with Finn Bálor. Thank goodness he’s been able to bounce back in NJPW.

Someone who the WWE seemed really high on but went nowhere was Kizarny. They seemed to hype him up for weeks but I don't know if he ever actually had a match..maybe 1 or 2 but they were that memorable that I've forgotten they happened at all. There was also that Hade Vansen guy who only ever appeared to cut 1 promo and then was never seen or heard from again. They didn't waste much time on him though.

I don't think Nathan Jones was a complete write off...well, maybe from WWE's standpoint. But the fame he achieved from his time in WWE opened doors into low budget movies and he's made a bit of a name for himself there. I saw a film he was in not long ago called "Boar" (also starring the legendary Bill Moseley) and he was great in that. He played this big, tough but kinda quirky/goofy guy and he just came across as really likeable. So I think because of his time in WWE, he was able to find his true calling as the star of low budget movies, especially horror. As for why his wrestling career went nowhere, I think it was down to Vince wanting to push him too soon. Had he spent some more time in OVW, he might have had a chance, but they wanted him to run before he could walk because of the way he looked.

Dirty Dom in the beginning should have had a Hulk gimmick. He'd come out wrestle, his opponent would make him made and he'd morph into Cain Velasquez.

Good list. I think Steiner and Bagwell weren't totally their fault, wwe had to humble all WCW guys instead of pushing them properly and I think that is the case here. My understanding is they knew Steiner was hurt when they signed him and was going to be limited for a bit. With Bagwell, I am sure he has a bit of an attitude but geez, looks at the attitude of some of the other guys there. I think in both cases they didnt have real plans for them and once the debut was done, so were they.

One name i was expecting on this list was Vader. I remember reading in Mick Foley's autobiography that he thought Vince didn't get Vader and had no idea how to book him. I know his Summerlslam match with Michael's didn't help, but thigns could have turned out differently if Vince had the attention span to book Vader with people who knew how to work with him, eg Foley.

He was just a fairly competent wrestlers who probably would have been way more athletic if he hadn't juiced himself to the gills, medicore on the mic, medicore gimmick that had been done to death better by many others, other than his stupid hat what did he bring to the table that no one else did better? Scot Steiner's signing was perfectly understandable - he had great charisma, a great look, and a history. It was his ring work and health that regressed afterward. And Eva Marie's is easy to understand: just look at her. That's why she was signed.

Another missed opportunity was with Gable Steveson. He has only wrestled one PPV match in his entire WWE run. A poor performance with Baron Corbin would be an understatement, as he was nowhere near as talented as Kurt Angle. Plus, fans instantly turned on him. I’d consider Steveson a massive failure despite all of the hype.

And he refused it in th middle of a match I aint a fan of delrio but that dude has every right to be angry at sin cara for not continuing the match(Hhh literally continued a Elimination chamber match with a crushed throat) Wwe might make a few mistakes but sin cara is the one who messed up

Bagwell was buried for being a wcw guy. We've seen this too many times so to say it was anything else is bs. Hell they even tried to bury Booker T initially jobbing him out to Rock and making him look weak. Same for Steiner. He was also in need of ankle surgery I believe so he wasn't as sharp in the ring, however, I loved Steiner's run and expected him to dethrone Triple H. If he was healthy they would've had better matches. To say his signing was pointless is complete bs.

The problem is that WWE dosent understand southern wrestling. AEW and WWE dont understand the wrestling old school fans like. WCCW, AWA, and Jim Crockett Promotions, and Continental Championship Wrestling are what most fans consider real wrestling. 😊

Eva Marie kept getting signed because her looks .. she was beyond terrible in the ring and on the mic but vince wanted to try n keep giving her a run to try an out an belt on her because she’s looks really good .. i remember she got released two ina year. Each time after weeks of promotion. Then finally did one match and that was it.
