I just found out your channel! Great content and thanks so much for all the info I was thinking make my sunscreen but I also want to support sustainable brands to recommend it, but there're a lot of products I didn't know where to start .

Thank you this is very helpful!! I tried raw elements in the past and I really love it. After it ran out I purchased the badger sunscreen tin, I love it so far. I also tried the meow meow tweet sunscreen but I did not like it at all so I returned it. It was difficult to spread on my face and the essential oil was too strong.

Hi Inês ! Glad you enjoyed the video !! Unfortunately I am not familiar with their products, but you can plug in their ingredients to the Environmental Working Group database to see what kind of rating they get.

my only issue is that zinkoxide is not truly broad spectrum, it does not cover one half of UVA, only what is considered UVA 2.

You didn’t say anything about butterbean’s original formula in the tin? Is this one not as good of a formula/sunscreen as the other two from the brand? It seems like it’d be more sustainable than the pump/refills! I’m looking for a zero waste sunscreen so I’m just trying to find the best! :)

So sorry I missed your comment until now. Yes, the butterbean original formula in the tin is also wonderful! It's a great option if you prefer that.

What are your thoughts on the Sea&Summit sunscreen?

they use zinc oxide, which is great. broad spectrum, also great. if I am to trust that the full ingredient list is what I'm seeing on their website, then it seems that they're not using any ingredients that would harm health. The Capuacu butter I'm not familiar with nor its impacts on the Amazon. At quick glance, they seem good, but I really don't like that they say "chemical free" haha! Their sunscreen definitely contains chemicals (everything does), a better term would be 'non-toxic' perhaps.

I'm curious because you stated that only one of the 10 is vegan, but just because the other products are not vegan, does it mean there is animal cruelty involved in the process of harvesting?
