All these morons in the comments comparison this to gun shots in terms of hearing damage and then talking about research when there's literally research showing that pure bass is WAYYYYY less damaging than mids or highs. Sure 160dB of bass isn't exactly good for your hearing but wont immediately cause any noticeable damage either. Meanwhile a gun shot at 160db lasting milliseconds very quickly causes noticeable hearing degradation. How do you people think guys who own audio systems like this are able to converse and hear people talking just like everyone else if bass was actually as damaging as higher frequencies?

My boyfriend and his friends were all in subwoofer competitions when we were in our early 20s. I had really long hair to my waist and they always used me for a prop to sit in their cars bc my hair would stand straight up from the bass and pressure of the subwoofers. Ear plugs and a hair brush was a must have. Good times and good memories. 🙉😆

Yeah at that level it could collapse your lungs I would say. I mean I can feel it just with my one and my buddy had 4 15s and it hurt my ears like literally stabbing my ear drums and the pressure and then breathing was weird kinda hard so if he opens his mouth and the passage way for air to get to his lung the pounds per square inch of air being brought in and then sucked out like a vacumn would either collapse his lungs or fucking explode them so yeah
