hi everyone! i've been wanting to make one of these videos for a while now because i love watching them and i finally found the time! this is also one of my more lengthy videos so i apologize for that and i'll try to make shorter videos in the future. but i hope you enjoy the video and stan all the people i included for songs that should be iconic! also, i had to mute oh my god by g-idle and shine by pentagon because instead of taking care of their artist's cube decided to block my video globally! fuck you cube i know you're reading this stop blocking all my fucking videos i'm promoting your artists more then you are.
i also thought that it was important that i talk about what is going on right now. everyone has a platform no matter how small so use your voice and stand up for what's right. no person should be viewed or treated negatively because of the color of their skin. no matter how we may look we are all still human and deserve to be treated as such.

if you made it here you get to read my 2-year retrospective on this video. i just rewatched the whole video for like the first time in a year and i definitely still agree with like 90% of the songs on this list but there is a couple i'd want to swap out now. and for all the people who were complaining about their faves not being here, you should have seen the planning process for the songs that went into this video and how many songs i had to cut out. i have like 10 post-it notes filled with a bunch of songs that i wanted to include and like half of them had to be scrapped so this video wasn't the billboard hot 100 of kpop songs because to me that is no fun. i also found it way more rewarding to put in smaller groups in the video. like having one person tell me how happy it made them that golden child was in the video erased those 100 comments complaining about there not being enough bts songs. you could also tell by the way i talked that the only thing i was doing in my free time was watching rupauls drag race. as for my 2-year hiatus, i am just lazy and never feel like editing videos anymore. the editing is actually the easy part i just hate adding commentary. like i have a fully edited 30 min video from fall 2020 that has never seen the light of day cause i never felt like adding commentary. if i ever make a comeback it will be with vocaliod and jpop songs because i'm not really a kpop fan anymore. thinking about it makes me want to make a version of this video with jpop songs but it will probably never happen, but i would love to flex my taste in jpop.
