Even if it isn't the worst of the lot, the Gollum game strikes me as the most baffling. Like playing as the Avatar or King Kong is at least cool in principle, was there really a substantial enough group of LoTR fans who were clambering for an interactive Gollum experience? Who was this game made for?! Also I didn't even realize they made a new ATLA game until I saw this video, guess that goes to show how memorable of an experience it must be.

I’ve actually played Robo Quest and to be honest it’s good fun! Fokoe sang most of the praises I would have already but yeah the movement is great and progression is fun, along with its wacky cell shaded aesthetic similar to Borderlands. I’d recommend checking it out!

Forspoken is like ordering food at a restaurant that looks ok but is just kinda meh Redfall is like ordering food that the chefs don’t want to make because they know you are gonna throw it away after 2 bites Gollum is like ordering food but the chefs forgot how to turn on the ovens so they just gave you a few vegetables and a tiny chicken nugget and called it a day. Avatar is like ordering food that was made by “chefs” that watched Rachel Ray 1 time and said to themselves “that’s easy to make”. Kong is like ordering food but the restaurant closes as soon as you get your food and then you realize that all the chefs gave you was single fish with a cigarette in its mouth

It's unfair to compare Majora's Mask to those games, because Majora's Mask used the _same_ source code as Ocarina of Time, like how they used the Link's Awakening source code into the Oracle games. There's a huge difference between reusing the same source code/engine for a sequel and making an entirely new game from the ground up.

Bet the Avatar game doesn't even go all in on being a LEGO like or whatever, if you're gonna replicate the LEGO formula then you gotta do the entire experience, that means more levels, more puzzles, more characters(ideally most if not all of them having a playable counterpart), excuses to return to a level like collectables, combat that isn't mind numbing because it doesn't stick around for longer than it really needs to and when it does it's sparingly scattered throughout the experience, etc. so all in all it's a shame that it's bad, it could have been so much better.

I might have an answer to why the wheels went in the wrong directions. Either the code was so sloppy that they forgot to add any specifics, or they added a line of code that did have specifics and added another line of code that didn't have specifics.
