3 жыл бұрынIn Kerala, India, a two-year-old startup is making a leather-like material from coconut water and waste fibers. Dubbed Malai, which is Hindi for “cream” as well as the milky part of the coconut, the material is textured, water-resistant, and biodegradable.
The company was founded by Zuzana Gombosova, a Slovakian fashion designer, and CS Susmith, a product designer based in Kerala.

@@sumukhvshankar1652 yes sumushank vegetarian lifestyle might depend on horrible breast milk from pregnant/lactating cow/buffalo/goat predominantly which in originally ment for the baby of that species, also, egg from poultry causes male chicks to enter maserator which turns them into fertilizer/pet-food.. so aviod vegetarianism, choose veganism and animal liberation pathway

Leather processing causes chemicals like chrome leaching in to ground water and causing health defects. Nice leather alternative .

COMPARED To TRADITIONAL Coir processing, todays fresh husk conversion may look more clean and colorful,leaving waterbodies with less pollution and less decaying husk smell. But use of chemicals are really.more now as most fibers and pith are bleached for better glow after dyeing . Adhesive used now are chemicals. May be like Textile industry.People see the glow and shine , not the background story.

That's right ! Plastic and some hazardous chemicals is making our planet unsafe for most of the living things including human, but problem is products like this can produced on very low scale compared to environmental unfriendly but popular products. Another cost of product also play very important role.
