Thank you! I've taken the Motocompacto apart several times. If a screw did vibrate loose, it was probably because I didn't tighten it down all the way. I also noticed the case started to separate right below the headlight. I was able to push on it and snap it back into place. Other than that, its solid! Maybe to solid, lol.

I think Richmond was the worse. The horses tear up the trail pretty bad, making it extra bumpy on those gravel sections.

Been using this video as a reference to my friends interested in getting one of these in regards to the durability and possibilities of hot-swappable battery mods for these scooters. Thank you for the efforts in producing this video!

Thank you! I was going to make a video explaining how to add or swap aftermarket batteries, but my OEM battery just bricked itself for whatever reason. In order for the aftermarket batteries to work, I would first need to power cycle the Compacto on and off using the OEM battery. If you did not do this, you would get the PR72 battery communication error. Since the battery issue, Im now able to just start the Compacto on the aftermarket batteries alone. The OEM battery has power, its just not coming out of the MT60 cable. I need to figure out what is exactly happening before I make a video on it. :) I'm planning for a trip to Indiana and back which I will try to complete 200 miles in one day. This may or may not involve a solar panel trailer to continuously charge the Compacto while driving. No wasted time charging...

@@HondaFit4Adventure Have you figured out how to eliminate the OEM battery? I am using an aftermarket battery standalone, but the compacto won't get out of the slow low-power mode.

Thank you. I'm not going to lie, an ebike is faster and cheaper, but I am a big Honda Fan so I bought this. I purchased a seatpost with built in shock. Now I can have a cushy seat with shock absorbers :) I'm currently scouting out my next adventure. Chicago to Indiana, which is 160 miles round trip. I turned one of those bicycle carriers for kids into a little solar trailer. I should be able to charge up my empty batteries while riding, so less down time.

Lol, you spoke too soon. I've encountered several errors after filming this video. ER72 Battery communication error. Battery cable got pinched and shorted. ER71 Motor communication error. One of the plugs on the motor controller vibrated loose. At least I was able to fix the issues. I'm going to try for 200 miles in one day later this summer. I will be using a trailer with a solar panel to help keep the stationary charge times down.

Hi Daniel. The plan was to drive from Illinois to Wisconsin and back stopping every 15miles or so to charge up. Even with the gravel affecting the battery range, I still should've had enough power in the aftermarket batteries to get back to the McHenery charge point, if I didn't let the OEM battery die first. Now that I know the scooter wont recognize the aftermarket batteries without the OEM battery, I wont accidentally put my self in that situation again. I recently rode 115 miles with no issues at all. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bMdoe8Rox928iaM.htmlsi=bhEGoRxWyM2LIM2Q

There are plenty of aftermarket options, but I went with a seller that had plenty of photo reviews and responsive to emails.
