The first baby was gorgeous! I agree that riding them while theyre pregnant is fine. Did that with a mare i worked with and actually, i was pregnant at the same time as her. So we just went nice and slow!

Yes. We usually had one or two pregnant mares and they always enjoyed the “junior trail rides.” Misty, especially, always wanted to lead.

I rode my racing quarterhorse when she was expecting. I kept it easy the last months.and her baby was healthy and amazing.

Omg Alan that was my first horse’s name but she was only 6 weeks old when my dad bought her and her momma for me when I was 10. Star was a pure bred Appaloosa, we grew up together and when it came time ride her she never buck or tried to throw me, she was my best friend and love of my life.

I rode my one mare up to her 10th month. I even showed her till her 9th. In fact vet reccomended it. She was always at her best when in foal.

I rode my mare up until it was about 2 months until the foal was born. Then rode again when the foal was about 1 month old with baby alongside.

My Dad and Grandpa used to use the mare’s when they had them until about a week before delivery if possible. They were used skidding tombstones along of the mules.

Yes, I have ridden pregnant mares. They do fine, I rode horses through my pregnancies with no problems, in fact I had all my pregnancies natural without much pain. The only problems with my pregnancies was with my third and final baby. I already had my first two babies and I didn't have time to ride and I couldn't afford to pay baby sitters, my husband wouldn't watch the children so I could ride.

I made one of Vicky's recipes yesterday after we got back from our eclipse trip. It was the Tater tots and ground beef recipe. Definitely easy and definitely tasty which was great when I was so tired.

We rode our childhood Arab/Welch cross through every pregnancy. She had healthy foals every time with really normal births and fast recoveries.

The exercise while horse is pregnant is good for them. Making labor easier for them. I've ridden many of my horses & friends mares that were pregnant. Till they're week of delivery. Labor was less stressful on the mares.

It is ok to ride a mare in foal and if you take your time and do not push them to much and i have ridden my mare when she was in foal till the last month and i never ever galloping

I had a mare and I rode her with each of us pregnant. Saki was her name and she was a buckskin. She dropped a palomino filly. I had a girl as well.

I would say no barrel racing, no rodeoing, but she needs to stretch her muscles and use her mind…. I wasn’t attracted to your quarter horses, I am however a Mustang Lover…. You are a good man and have a lovely wife, but the mustangs and rez horses are how you got me….💕Thank you for Sharing …. an old horse girl

Yes, me and a friend rode her pregnant mare bareback and bridleless to ditch school. We rode around the wash and the horse got breaks, but wasn't strained in the least.😂 She was a very sweet horse ... Today, I wouldn't have both of us even though both us teenagers were barely over 200lbs together.

They may get moody in the last couple weeks of their term. It depends on the rider if they are a experienced rider. So they know when they move around inside the rider isn't kicking or moving on them so the mare feels secure in the person on them. Feeling instincts the mares depends on the situation and rider.❣️🐴

yes two different times, the mare was out of Poco b. and had a great filly. stop riding the last two weeks, never hard. you will have a great baby.

Ofcourse a pregnant horse can be ridden, but no hard riding and definitely NO jumping! Remember what happened to Charlotte's foal after all that jumping? We don't want that to happen again.

😢😢😢 no no do not ride a horse a month before they’re supposed to have a baby. I don’t care if it works for Star you’re not supposed to do that that is not healthy for the horse or the baby, but it’s your horse.
