Yes, I get it. The marines were a little dull... but I managed to swap out some of their weapons towards the end and slightly improve the combat techniques. Enjoy!

I'd turn that one odst into 6-7 (the max until bonus round) and give them all power weapons, particularly rocket launchers if I could, huddle up with 2 warthogs and the mongoose for cover and have my stand there. Without the need for pk degeneracy.

Looks like the engine can't handle too many AI characters without breaking. That's a shame, would love to see a full scale battle that doesn't end with retarded AI.

It’s BECUSE the AI is quite smart and developed in bungie’s games. They have a lot of things they can do and react to. 343 AI is dumbed down to make up for graphics and gameplay in the newer games

First time playing this map in years I jumped in a hog with a friend and an ODST climbed in. Which surprised me since I forgot they spawn here. He was quite a chatter box. I honestly never been so happy to see these guys again. :D

I don't like how the ODST usually have reduced health on this map. Marines and ODST get 15 standard shots in Reach. But for some reason only 5 shots in this Halo CE firefight map, it's disgraceful.

Their range is also alot less but probably the same as the regular reach campaign. They only shoot enemies in 20 foot range it seems. Also enemies have a larger engagement range than them.

How long can a platoon of UNSC Marine Rifle Platoon survive Lone Wolf? That would be 43 Marines divided into 3 squads of 13 each, mostly armed with MA5Bs, but with one DMR and one grenadier per squad. One Squad should be augmented with a Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser, and Sniper Rifle, with the rest in the squad armed with shotguns and magnums.

I’d love to see a mode like Firefight, but the goal is to find marines and get them evacuated. You go to one location to rescue a few and the survivors join you to help rescue the others. By the end there’s you and 5 fully stacked AI driven warthogs storming through a covenant stronghold to get to the evac point.

This really highlights how amazing the ai is in Halo. You don't see it when you're running through blasting everything in sight, but here you can see the Ai flanking, taking cover, advancing in groups, using equipment when available, throwing grenades without hitting their buddies, it's really cool :D

Honestly i would never feel like the A.I. would be steping on my toes if they were effective combatants in a campaign. That's what makes me appreciate them far more than having a bunch of A.I so brain dead they couldn't tie their shoes without strangling themselves. Because if the A.I acts more unless than a broken condom there's no point in having them there in the first place, because they're effectively scenery.

I think the closest elite rank that will be on the verge between easy and moderately hard for the AI marines is the officer and rangers. They could face ultras and specops, but would end up dying easily due to the mass usage of concussion rifle and the specops energy sword. We all know why they would not do well against generals and field marshals on their own outside of an army. Nonetheless, nice video and keep up the goodwork.

I would love to see a gamemode where UNSC and the Covenant both land troops to fight over a region, no not invasion, i mean ai and you can help, some may say that's just the campaign, but no imagine custom battles between the UNSC and Covenant and go into exact detail,about what each side brings, like wraths and scorpions, or warthogs and revenants, ODST's drops or Pelicans, i would even pay money for such a mode I don't care, i must have it...

Wonder how the AI functions exactly. Like, is there a priority list for the individual actors to get instructions? I imagine allied AI would be pretty low on such a list as the game is mostly about the player vs the enemies. I imagine the ODST AI works at an individual level so with 100 of them around that's a lot of individual actors needing instructions so they probably just wind up standing around and reacting slowly quite often.

The enemy always seems to prioritize the player and the friendly AI is just a sideshow. The friendly AI seems to have a limited engagement range compared to the enemies as well, and they only fire in bursts with little accuracy to make the player do most of the work

I wish there was a Friendly dropship that dropped off like 12 marines then like ODST drop pods for boss waves. Also port firefight mode to bigger maps and have the AI follow pathes at each other. Would be noice.

hey quick question, does Reach's human A.I have the ability to use the mounted turrets? I have never seen soldiers use them on this map or in any campaign mission which have a turret unlike in previous games

Barry M.Cockener this is one of the only halo games where friendly ai do 0 melee damage. It would be fine if they didn’t have such long melee animations. I don’t know why they have melee animations at all

Because they are normal humans a brute can take a punch from a spartan without being fazed and so can an elite if an ODST was punched by a spartan they would likely have several internal organs bursted as their rib cage and spine shattered
