1- Let it charge overnight. These days IOS controls it at %80 before you wake up, so its good. 2- Dont let your phone heat up. Especially at %100-%80 dont play games or other heavy things with your phone. 3- Never let it down %20 and below. %30-%40 Good time for charge if you are at home and will go for bed. Dont wait for %20 (in addition, when using your brand new phone first time, charge it to %100 after setup and you dont need to wait hours after full charge) 4- If phone is warm, let it cool 1-2 min. on table before plug in your charger. If possible, dont use your phone while its charging (it generates heat more using it while charging) 5- Dont let your phone facing against sun, heat things etc. (let it stay cool as long as possible) I had iphone 7 plus used these easy rules and used my phone extensively. 2 Years and it says %96 battery life. The person I sold the phone to couldn't believe it :)

Speak for yourself when you say that. Because it'll depend on the person and where they live. If you live in a big city, have a job then you can use it however you want and just drop in to the Apple store to get your battery replaced. However if you're a student or live in a remote part of the world then you'll want to take better care of your battery. So it depends on the person.

I can agree with this entirely, I've always been a fairly heavy user and I tend to run phones with larger batteries, but my charging habits don't change, I got the SE 2020 on release (just some trials, since I'm an avid android user) and even with the extra cycles needed to charge it, since it's release date I've only lost about 1% which I find pretty good considering the pitiful battery size

Especially helpful to know about charging it overnight, cause I always do that and wasn't sure if it was bad for the battery at all.

Best way to keep your battery good as new is to have it charged at nominal voltage, which is ~3.6V / 50-60%. Discharging it more will affect its lifespan - 3.3V (less than 5%) is the point, when the battery goes bad. For charging, the battery doesn't like charging close to 4.2V where it usually stops charging (~100%). They can be pushed to even higher voltages, but that gives even worse cycle rate, because the cell is under heavy tension and also produces a lot of heat. Usually, 50% to 90% is a half of a cycle, from 90% to 100% is the second half. From 50% to 80%, it is just a 1/4 of a cycle. From 0% to 50%, the battery doesn't produce as much of a heat + the chemical process is easy and doesn't really wear the cell at all, but deeply discharging the cell can swap the poles and completely ruin the battery, so it's better to not fall below 10%. I've been daily using a OnePlus 5 with a used battery (93% health) and after a year, it just dropped by a single percent while charging it to 60-80%. My laptop also screams no battery wear (just 26 cycles) even after a year of daily charging to 60%. Tesla batteries have a longer lifespan for the same reason. They charge the cells much more closer to the nominal voltage, hence they are rated at more cycles.

I have had my iPhone 11 for 4 months now and im still at 100%. I thought it’s normal but i have seen a lot of comments which say that their health dropped after a month or even less. There is only one thing i do: i keep my iPhone between 30% and 70%, sometimes 20% and 80% if i need more. In addition to that i try not to use my iPhone at all while it’s charging. I also don‘t overuse it with intense games but i still got a decent screen on time by using social media a lot. Don‘t know if this helps someone lol. Ive been using my XR for one year, the battery Health goes from 100 %to 99%, only one percent. What i did: 1. I never charge my iphone overnight 2. i use only iphone original charger cable and original head charger 3. i never watch porn on my iphone ☺️ 4. I never use cheap powerbank 5. I never charge it on my PC 6. I always make sure that the power source is stable If you take care of your iPhone, your iPhone will take care of you. My Phone is in good condition, no dent, it has nice case to protect. I travled around the world, use it for live streaming for hours, take pictures, videos, etc. But i always keep it clean, i look after it, because not all people can afford it, and i always thankful for my device. Now im using my XS Max, looking to buy 11 pro Max before jump to 12 on sept. Always be thankful to God, sure He will bless you and upgrade you for better things. Cheers

I had an iPhone XR for an entire year and it remained at 100% the whole time, hopefully with software you will be able to keep your battery capacity for a longer time. I would say since most people keep their phone for a year or two to not worry about it so much. I can’t imagine you would lose more than a couple of percentage points after a year at most and if it’s more than that there may be another issue

@@Soundlyk_bigirl with average use, that battery life is still good for an entire day. The 73% battery capacity of my phone can last about 10 hours at most of continuous use, the benefit though is that there are cheap battery replacements for that model, some you can do it yourself with proper tutorials and a good battery brand.

My iPhone SE (original) had been my daily driver for over five and a half years until I upgraded to the iPhone Mini last week. The battery health of the SE was 87% before I turned it off for the last time. I rarely, if ever, drained the battery to 0%. I maintained the charge between 30% and 100% by charging occasionally during the day. I rarely kept it plugged in overnight. I never played games on it. I used it mostly for texting, email, calls, browsing, and various apps like KZfaq streaming and GPS. While in the car, the phone would be plugged in the car using Apple CarPlay. I guess I'm not a "power user".

One thing to keep in mind about MacBooks is that once the battery is fully charged, power is changed from battery to AC, so your battery isn’t being used at all during that. So using your MacBook while it is plugged in as much as possible will be the best bet.

Let me get this right, all I have to do is: •Avoid heat + covers that causes heat while charging. •charge it when ever I want (Partial charges) •It’s ok to charge it overnight because there is a technology that stops Charging when my phone is full. •Avoid full cycles (from 100% to 0 ) That’s it?

These videos will confuse you everyone would say something different... But here are my person and honest tips that have worked with people I know. -DO NOT charge it to 100%. Preferably unplug it at 85-90%. -DO NOT drain it to 10%, its better to plug it straight into the charger when it hits 15%. -DO NOT game on it heavily, especially those high end very consuming games. -DO NOT use knock off or fake cheap chargers,Its better to not charge it using portable chargers or plugging it into other devices to charge, just use the charger from the box. -DO NOT expose the device to heat or the sun. Follow these and trust me you'll see your battery health percentage stuck in the same % for many months. Most important is the charging pattern, never let it reach 100% or 0%.

I'm using an Iphone 7 for almost 5 years now (every day) and the battery life is 82%. Charging it with the original charger , always at night - all night. During the day I only charge it when it's getting under 10-15 % which is most of the time in the evening. After 3 years no more software updates for my phone to keep it fast and smooth. That's how I do it, works pretty good.

I‘ve bought myself the iPhone 7 a view days after it came out (now 4 years and 2 months ago) and I’ve used it probably each day since then. It was at 73% battery health and was overreacting to everything I did. It would get hot and shut down when I did too much multitasking like FaceTiming and doing anything else like being in the home screen 😂 it was time for a new phone, so I bought myself the iPhone 12 and I am sooo impressed. That jump from an iPhone 7 that was slowly dying to an iPhone 12 is amazing. No regrets. This phone is a beast! I’ve used it 9 hours today (screen on) and I’ve only used about 75%.. my iPhone 7 could only provide me 2 to 3 hours.. I had to charge it like 3 times a day. But now that I’ve upgraded I can love my phone again and I’m not mad every 5 seconds because my battery is dropping without me using my phone :) btw I did pretty much all the tipps from this video with my iPhone 7. I think it’s realistic that it’s at 73% After 4 years of using it.

Hey Zollo, great video on the iPhone's battery. In my family we have iPhones ranging from the iPhone 8 to the iPhone XS models. At the moment my XS has its battery at 89% health. The Apple store is very far away from us, & I know that Apple sets a software lock on the battery health feature if non-programmed battery is installed. Our best bet is to install thrid party batteries since traveling to an Apple store is difficult.
