Rudeus Danenhower here! Pleasure to be of service. This was an incredible experience, and we can't thank you enough for organizing it. This event sparked a very strange snowball effect, beginning with Crugnor (Ernie) writing an in-character journal. Many of us in the USSR took inspiration from that, and together writing personal journals adding up to over 8 pages of personal lore! There were memes throughout the Five Exes server that popped up based on session events, Gartic Telephone games after every session depicting in-game events, and more! A handful of us even started a DnD group which I'm proud to be a part of. You've cultivated a community that grew far bigger than anyone could have guessed. There's a lot of potential here, and I hope to watch it grow bigger and bolder over the coming years. It's been fun, and I hope to join you again soon.

This is so awsome. Its like the dream of what a big group of people on game could create. Literally better than a tv show with all the factions, solo main characters, fights, story, and tragedies. I'm less than halfway through and this is better than could have expected.

Aw! I really wanted to know who made it to that train in the end. It would probably be a ton of work but I would have loved a list that popped up every once in a while with who is still alive.

Raz Griz here, this was my favorite Zomboid event I've ever been in, WEST POINT BEST POINT

Opinions, viewpoints, and hopes for the sequel: 1) It kinda feels like this was supposed to be a RP event, with having a few semi-scripted events and such and trying to build a story. That said, it's really hard to stay in it when it's constant memeing and cracking jokes, dicking around during RP scenes/events and, even worse, complaining about being bored from RP events happening in an RP event. I've been involved in a number of sim units and am an avid TTRPG player, and while joking around happens there's usually some official (and mostly unofficial) rules that kind of set up the expectations that when the shit hits the fan, whether that be bullets, zombies, or even courtroom drama coming your way, it's time to square up and take it seriously. At least more seriously, it's still a game and all, but hopefully you know what I mean. Now that doesn't mean having demerits and such like sim units had/have, but maybe something set up to encourage people to actually play a role and embody some kind of character, at least during the square up moments of the events. 2) Along the lines of setting some ground rules/expectations/do's & don'ts, I'd hope "no random kidnapping" gets added to that list. I appreciate Ol' Ben trying to set up an RP opportunity, and I really like Shane from The Walking Dead (both graphic novel and show), I don't think just randomly trying to snatch someone up to force it is the way. Especially just to evade the opportunity to play that out at the courtroom. It made it feel like just trying to justify a long, drawn out RDM under the guise of "role playing". -This is just a side rant about point two, please feel free to move on to point three: It felt even more like RDMing when, after they decide to randomly snatch somebody, get two somebody's, have those two somebody's try to include both of them in this event, to just have Zorro just decide to gun one down and go on a rant about "supposed to be a simple job" when it wasn't a job in the first place, it was just a group deciding they wanted to lock someone away from participating in the game. And then they didn't even do anything with locking Emeralds up! Just, "Oh hey, I've got a chance to kill you now! No RPing for anybody else to see here!" I would've loved to see it go down like this; message Emeralds before that session (or even during the game) and be like "Yo, I wanna explore my character having a breakdown about your character and the van thing, that cool? Heads up, could be lethal!" and then (assuming we get the go ahead) then "stumble across them" (from getting their location), talk about the "luck" of finding the thieves from before, skip the Simple Job RDM, and get them both back to base. Then you keep harping on and on about, "They took our van, what else have they done? Etc. etc." Then when it's you and one other prisoner, "Hey, I've got this, go backup the others." And the _moment_ your guard buddy is out the door? "I've got to help the others, I can't take the chance (or something along those lines)" and BLAM BLAM! You got the greenlight *before* ruining someone's participation in the event (the "I could tell from the long kidnapping" and the "Am I just going to spend the rest of the game locked up?" were pretty damning) AND you immediately open up that RP opportunity with guard buddy. Did his character actually overhear? Does he go back to confront Ben? Does he maybe agree with Ben's sentiment (with a slip of the tongue about being glad merced Emeralds when someone with a dissenting opinion can overhear)? Does guilt lead to a confession to someone else later? You've now enjoyed the event your participating in, you make sure that the person you involved is enjoying the event they're participating in, *and* you keep the RP engine running for even more enjoyment later! 3) I'd also like to see some encouragement for these RP style events to at least choose a real name and at least an adjective for the role they wanna play. Jason M., friendly. Alisha S., altruistic. Brian B., aggressive. It's awesome seeing the likes of Cody "Danger" Donger, Patrick Boderman, Rudy, Matthew Leggett, and Father Ted, so it hurts even more when they have to react to their friend being eaten by zombies screaming "Oh God, the zombies got 69BigChungusFeetLover69!" and might encourage a bit more RP if they have an actual name.

These people can't listen. and have literally no chill. Spider is best.

Killing Emeralds was like suddenly killing off a beloved main character 😕

I would love to see this again but: 1 it goes till everyone is dead 2 zombie are limited so it’s possible to kill every single one. 3 Resources don’t respawn 4 zombies are set to the hardest difficulty 5 virus only spreads through bites 6 there’s no cure or way to revive Idk which were set for this but I think it’d be amazing to see who could live the longest and see people getting rushed by sprinters.

Participating in this 'social experiment' was a grand time, looking forward to any future projects. WEST POINT BEST POINT!!!
