100 Year Old Abandoned Village House - Bread making in chipped stone - Primitive water mill

I'm in a house built 200 years ago with a real bushcraft story where ancient people lived and is now abandoned. I made a primitive bread with this tray-shaped material made with handmade chipped stone in ancient times, it tasted incredible. It didn't taste like the breads I've ever eaten and made in my bushcraft-style camps. I should definitely try this again. I grinded corn in a primitive watermill and freshly baked my bread and ate it with melted cheese. I slept in the hammock here and it was really enjoyable.

What an interesting and beautiful place in the mountains, it's sad to see it abandoned. I can only imagine the rich history of that homestead. If the walls could only talk and tell us. You made some amazing discoveries with the stone bowl, grain stone mill and the orchards. It's hard to believe that people would want to leave that peaceful paradise.

When we were young I've seen the same stone grinder with hands from our great great grand parents but at this time I could no longer find it in our ancestral house. I live away from town and bazar. Ours is a silent village . Till four years back I wanted to settle in town but after watching such video I realized ours place is heaven ... thanks for the peace and beautiful place. The old grinding machine is called " pani ghataa " in our language ( Nepali )

That style of breadmaking is similar to what we have in the Philippines. The way you cooked it with fire at the bottom and on top is how we cook "Bibingka". It's a delicacy that is famous in our country. We aslo have a similar stone mill that we use to grind our grain only it is powered by hand and we call it "gilingang bato".

We still have in the most brazillian remote villages water powered mills like this one . But I don't know for how long we will still have stonecutters to carve the grinding stones and others craftsmen to build the mill . It's marvelous to see such an old and important machine working and built in the same way for so many centuries

@@MrWildNature these grinding stones are so well balanced and beautiful. It's not difficult to buy an old but still perfect stone for around 30 bucks in some villages , resting under a barn , lost in a cellar .
