With over 200 years of history, Iizukatei was the home of the wealthy Iizuka family, now renovated in to a unique boutique hotel. Iizukatei fuses sophisticated modern interiors with traditional architecture and is just a few hours drive north of Tokyo, in serene Nakagawa-machi, a small town in the north-east of Tochigi Prefecture.

Thank you for taking us with you. I feel more relaxed. The price of the meals was such a surprise - so reasonable! I could almost taste the food - at least the items I have tried before. After that, I just imagined. It was also very nice to see the two of you together. Take us more places please!!

I'd imagine the maintenance and the land price for that really matches the price point of ur stay. Love the place and the interior and exterior really blends well with the modern and oldern timeline. With that price and amenities given u don't need to bring anything from home. U are home ☺️🙋‍♂️

This video is so utterly lovely and tranquil. Thank you. BTW (I am now 74), I clearly recall one VERY disagreeable Social Studies teacher in Junior High, back in NYC. This was in the early 1960s. Miss Arevalo. An absolute gorgon. She married a man whose last name was Iizuka. He was from Japan. I sincerely hope if this is the same Iizuka family she married into - it at least improved her disposition to be surrounded by such quiet serenity.

You get what you pay for! For that kind of price, this is a beautiful and serene place, perfectly far away from any kind of bustling city. And the food! O M G ! I did find it strangely surprizing that you were greeted by an English speaking lady. I would not expect it in a place like that.

I loved this place already when you showed it on your other channel! So many things to enjoy from the beautiful house, the lustre of the porcelain, the local food and the big garden! Maybe you can return there one day and bring a new fur baby with you to explore the surrounding area 🙂

Ah, that ultra neat accommodation experience when on holiday. Thank you for the tour and interrupting your meals to introduce each dish. The table at breakfast looks rather low and raw eggs was unexpected. Hope both of you got some good rest there.

I've been subscribed to this channel for awhile and I absolutely love your videos because they are so well done and very calming. I had no idea you guys had another channel until I saw a comment from a random user on another video of yours!
