I took an overnight ferry from Sendai to Hokkaido Japan and tried a unique First Class cabin this time. The travel time was 15 hours 20 min. It was really comfortable.
The overnight ferry that I took: Taiheiyo Ferry
The name of the ship: Kitakami
The route: Sendai to Tomakomai (Hokkaido)

Japanese products (those that they produced for their own uses, not those that exported) went through very detailed considerations or have features that other countries dont have, I was very impressed by their products when I was there. For people who don’t know that you can cross from the uk to Europe by ferry, but…between Dover and the bottom of England and in Calais France you can ride on kind of a train that you can sit like an ordinary train. Or there are sealed compartments (to protect fire spreading) with your car, coach or lorry. The then it’s taken under the sea. To my point… I decided it was amusing to tell my aunt that there were portholes that you could see the fish under the water through 😂 Very amusing when she asked when the portholes started 😂

I love these videos! They are very calming and give me something to look forward to when I can travel again. I always wish I could see what the baths look like inside, but I understand why that's not possible. Thank you for sharing your travel experiences with us!

To be honest, I didn’t expect the first class to be this small on such a big ship! I know for the fact that hotel rooms in Japan are very small but the ferry too!

Love this channel and I would love to visit Japan also. I notice most rooms are compact, so what happens if you are "sumo" sized (asking for a friend ha ha).

I mean in Finland the cabins are not really bigger than this even though this looks more like a normal cabin than a first class one. But the cost is also nearer the normal cabin price than the first class one. But being very big would be a problem here also not only in Japan.

Another great video! Very peaceful, nice clean spacious ship. The room is quite nice and the crossing beds are unique. Even a private bathroom, I like that. The departure and arrival times are good because they are not at either end of the day, I expect that to make it more relaxed to get on and off the ferry. Yes, the background sounds do give away the restaurant opposite the piano.
