Humans will live forever after death. This life is temporary. True life is the life after death. Once we die our creator will again resurrect us on the Judgment day.And on that day if you have believed in Allah and have followed his book Quran then you will be succeed in hereafter life. God Almighty says, “Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose) and that you would not be brought back to Us?” (Quran 23:115) From above verse, we can conclude, we were indeed created for a purpose beyond that of simply play and enjoyment in this life. We have the purpose of life that we should know and have to live life according to that purpose. God almighty describes purpose of this life, I have not created the jinn and the men except for this that they should worship Me. I do not ask any sustenance of them, nor do I ask them to feed Me. Allah Himself is the Sustainer, Possessor of power and might. Quran 51 (56-58) From the ayah, it is clear that the creation of humans, as well as jinns, is for the purpose of worshiping Allah Almighty. We believe that there is only One Creator Who created us and we acknowledged Him, we all know that He created us (humankind) to serve Him. There is a reason behind the creation of this world and humankind. If you worship Allah then it's for your own benifit. Because we don't have that much power. Allah sustains us. He feed every single creature on the face of the earth. We all are dependent on Him. God almighty says, We have not created the heavens and the earth and whatever lies between them merely in sport: We have created them with the truth, but most of them do not know. For the resurrection of them all, the appointed time is the Day of Decision. Qur'an 44 (38:40) The day of Decision means the day of Judgment when Allah almighty will gather all Mankind starting from First to the last. Allah almighty will resurrect them which means Allah will give us life after death. And on that day if you have believed in Allah and have followed his final revelation Qur'an then we will be given eternal life in Paradise. Hereafter life is the eternal life either in Hell or Paradise depending upon the good deeds.Hereafter life is true life we all should work for that life not for that which is temporary. The people of Paradise will visit one another, recognise one another and meet one another in the Gardens of delights. This is part of the perfect delight of the people of Paradise. There is nothing to prevent someone of a lower status in Paradise from visiting one who is above him, as also happens in this world. God almighty speaks about life after death, As regards those, who believe and do good deeds, We will admit them into Gardens underneath which canals flow, wherein they will abide for ever. This promise of Allah is true and who can be truer in his word than Allah? Qur'an 4 (122)

It’ll not just the diet… Look at his mental framework, he’s the ultimate optimist! Also: he does only 2 meals per day and undergoes a long period of fasting; his mantra “when hungry, drink a glass of water “. He kept himself physically and mental active. He uses food to support his whole being and therefore he needs small portions of very nutritious foods. Look how frugal his food stack was; he has massive respect and appreciation for food. It’s the combination of all these dimensions that got him to 100 years. Not just one thing… ❤

Summary of advice given by Dr. John Scharffenberg: 1. Eat at the proper time, avoid snacking, and consume a variety of natural, non-processed foods in quantities for ideal weight. 2. Follow a vegetarian or lacto ovo vegetarian diet, emphasizing a variety of plant-based foods. 3. Avoid tobacco and alcohol. 4. Engage in regular exercise and maintain a healthy weight. 5. Be cautious of excessive meat and sugar intake. 6. Control high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol. 7. Prioritize lifestyle changes over medication, especially for cardiovascular health. Other interesting facts shared in the video: 1. Dr. Scharffenberg is a 99-year-old Adventist vegetarian. 2. Studies have shown an association between increased meat intake, particularly beef, and higher risk of lymph gland cancer. 3. Avoiding seven lifestyle risk factors can significantly reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and diabetes: tobacco, alcohol, inactivity, overweight, excessive meat consumption, excessive sugar consumption, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol. 4. Cholesterol level alone is not a reliable indicator of heart health, and lifestyle factors have a significant impact on cardiovascular disease risk. 5. Controversies exist in the field of nutrition, including conflicts of interest and lack of nutrition education for doctors. Informational sources and authors mentioned: 1. Dr. Alan Cunningham - Author of books on longevity and the association between meat intake and lymph gland cancer. 2. True North Health Center - A health center known for medically supervised water fasting. 3. Cochrane Database - A group of top specialists in different subjects, known as the gold standard for evaluating research. 4. Ellen White - A figure believed to be a prophet in the Seventh Day Adventist tradition, who advocated for two meals a day.

I am curious to learn a lot more and finally have time to ponder the great questions ;-). I agree with all the good doctor says, he has the right mindset and a positive, generous attitude, I only would like to add: yes, the doctors rarely have time to ask about lifestyle, mental health, nutrition these days ...I thought with what I am studying I could encourage people of my age and the young just as well to take charge of their lives, all the points mentioned plus not to forget: community and purpose, self-efficacy, courage, curiosity, empathy. However I realise that many men and women of all ages expect the doctors and the pharmacy to provide the quick fix. The knowledge and information can be found .. but has to be applied.

My grandfather also lived til 96, who lived thru ww2 winter war, siberian gulags @ -40c in pyjamaz for 2 weeks etc.. buried 4 wives , and solo raised my dad ettc... our generation is just losers... we supposed to be version 3.0 of our gene pool as males... but our fathers wqere better than us ,and its embarrasing to even compare ourselves to our grandfathers.... i thinks thats why there's so much hedonism and nihilism in society as well... inferiority complex subconciously... well the generations go in circles... we are approaching Crisis era again,

When I was 8 years old, in 1977, I took my dad in Olivos, Buenos Aires, Argentina to a course to stop smoking in 5 days, my dad used to smoke 4 packs of cigarets a day. On the first day, they played a movie called "One in 20.000" after watching that movie, my dad never touch a cigaret ever again in his life up until today, we also became Adventist. How reviling was to watch this amazing interview and learn towards the end, that his father made that movie. Thank you God for having these helpers on earth. God bless you John and give you many more years of happiness!

Kind of an afternoon "snack" for him. He also smoked ciggies. Light smoker, not heavy. Quit smoking altogether at age 70 on the advice of his doctor. Still managed to live another 23 years! Gramps bowled, fished, played golf regularly and played drums in a polka band all through his 80's. Also, they did consume dairy. Mostly whole milk, ice cream and cream cheese. They lived well into their 90's, grandma 97 --- just 5 weeks before her 98th. They never had any major diseases such as heart disease, hbp, diabetes, arthritis. My grandma grew her own tomatoes and ate them raw--- often right off the vine, which is considered a no-no in these times. Grandpa was in the hospital once in his 60's for a hernia, but that was it. Grandma never spent A DAY in the hospital until the last 3 weeks of her life. They both ate meat and dairy all their lives and still lived long and healthy, so go figure.

Some very few grandparents had luck to be born to a healthy society with no mobile phones and much less social stress than today. They ate local, simple, home-cooked and non-GMO food, they worked hard and walked long distances. They spent free time reading, hiking and dancing. They have a healthy microbiome. Still these lucky people don't count in thousands. Compared to them our generation is undernourished on junk food without any nutrients like cakes or french fries, oversugered, and poisoned by GMO corn, wheat, oats, etc.

Yep a figure this one too! There ain’t one essential nutrient in a plant !
@daw7773

@@MrPJgates Not correct, there are all necessary nutrients found in vegetables, fruit except B12 because of “modern farming” practices (e.g. pesticides)destroyed the B12 created(worm lava/ soil microbes) in the root of plants. Vegetarian animals(e.g. Orangutans , elephants, cows, giraffes) are NOT vitamin/mineral/protein deficient. Dr. John Scharffenberg did mention that it is not a problem to eat a small amount of animal products(e.g. eggs, yogurt). The problem with modern man is that many eat too much meat due to easier access(e.g. grocery/butcher shops) and processed food. If you were walking through a forest without any man made tools(e.g. knife, gun, spear) what could you eat …..a cow or a piece of fruit ? If a tiger were walking through a forest , what could the tiger eat…..a piece of fruit or a cow?

I understand you points but your grand parents obviously had great genes. Perhaps if they did not drink too much alcohol and ate less animal products they had the genes to live even longer perhaps +115 years old. Your grand parents were truly blessed, may condolences to you and your family.

The professor has LIVED the life of a Public Heath Specialist and his memory, vigour, laughter is a proof of the validity of the advice he is giving. He is still learning and continues on his mission to spread the message that lifestyle is the key to a full and healthy life. I am a public Health specialist myself in his eighties and follow the lifestyle advocated by the Professor. I suggest, from obsrvations and personal experience, that yogasanas in addition to the 2 mile walks prescribed by the Professor, plus maintaing the attitude to keep on learning, will add to the prescription. I have forwarded this interview to colleagues and relations. It must get a wide viewership.

Such a great interview - he’s not jus positive and sharp with a great sense of humour, he is dead honest (with compassion) in a way that many practitioners are becoming afraid to state these days - he is SO smart on point talking about ACES , obesity, exercise, etc. Notice he is not afraid to say the truth but yet does it with a lifetime of accumulated knowledge and experience, genuine kindness and humour. Wow.!!!

TACTFUL TOO! He could have easily mentioned the SUGARY SPORTS DRINKS, PEPSI AND COKE in regard to the great obseity problems we're having among our YOUTH now, but he didn't. My friend (at 104) stated that her secret to longevity was NO VITAMINS and avoiding visits to DOCTOR'S OFFICES! My friend who is an AVID reader of holistic medicines (which our INSURANCE companies wont' cover, of course.) said she'd "rather pee her pants than take any STATINS" and that included pee running down the back of the horse she was riding at the time. ha . like to see a WHOLE VIDEO DEDICATEDTO this "medical push" on "manufactured statins." I put her picture as athe cover on a song titled "Her High Horse." btw. WHAT GREAT INTERVIEW with Dr. Scharffenberg! Being a Seventh Day Adventist Church member and in commeration of those wonderful Church Members whose RECEPIES were absolutely excellently prepare, today we made a GIANT pan full of an half of an eggplant SLICED and yes, FRIED in Canola oil, then with added real butter and spaghetti on top...I want to ask Dr. Scharffenber, why does he think we get "addicted" to the "flavor of" the fried (cooked) egg plant ? We dip the sliced egg plant (peeled, sorry?) into the egg with some milk, and coat it with Whole wheat flour... Now, whenever my daughter and I cook egg plant, we with automatically THINK of Dr. Scharffenberg! Google spell check rolls wont' correct my word. COMMERATION, but I swear it's a word! To "commerate" HONOR and respect ! Please ask the doctor where he'll be in the next few months and see if he's like to vist San Diego, California sometime soon? Btw, in thinking that most of the BEST opera singers were always overweight, and believing that "weight "might have "added somewhat, to the physical power of the human voice..." I' asked the classical guitarist in Italy, to please back me up on my COMEDY, titled "Opera at its Worst!" The Doctor seem to have, BTW, bypassed a "dissertation upon" the healthy wine drinkers of Sicily in his diagnoses, uthink? Well one glass of red wine, and here goes my offer ! Sincerely, Lynda Faye's "Opera at its Worst" and "One Enchanted Evening, I Met an OLD friend..." (ha ha not a funny at all) by Ana Marie Ceuca in Italian. LyndaFayeSmusic@Yahoo&Bandcamp.
