Im sure you’ve heard of the term love at first site. for jack and Deborah that was their life. They were soul mates living life to fullest together. Jack who a man on honor and integrity and fought for our country and for his family. He and Deborah ended up being married for over 60 years traveling the world, and raising their children. When they grew older Jack had fallen asleep one night only to not wake up the next morning, his wife was very distraught at the loss of her best friend. But even though she was in so much emotional pain she fought through for another 2 years by herself and in 2014 she laid in the same bed where jack took his last breath and went on to be with him again. Their home is now frozen in time left with many memories of their life together. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.
I am an Urban Explorer from Oklahoma just traveling around finding the coolest forgotten places! follow me on my journey around the world finding the best unknown forgotten places on earth! Merch coming soon 🔥

This woman passed at home when she was 100 years old. Not in a care facility or a hospital - still at home taking care of herself. That speaks a lot of her gumption and spirit. Rest in peace, dear lady.

It amazes me how much respect you show these old homes. Some people would consider the things left behind to be nothing but junk, but you actually seem to care about what you find. Some people would be discussed if they didn't find room after room of antiques, but the truth of the matter is most folks live simple lives and can't afford priceless works of art. Thank you for showing the same respect for a simple lived in home as you would a king's castle. 😊

Oh my goodness… Thank you for taking us on this tour. Makes my heart sad that of all the portraits of children, grandchildren, etc. someone would’ve gone back to clean up the mess and put grandma things away properly. What kind of family abandons someone’s life like that? A bit odd

I can understand why family members do not pack up their parents things after they pass. When my mom passed in 2019 I packed up 40 plus years of her belongings plus my own. It was very overwhelming. I was caring for her the last few years. Thank God my oldest was able to to help pack and stay with my mom while I worked.

Oh I guarantee they got the jewelry, important paperwork and valuables. Most of what is left is flea market and goodwill grade. They probably rent the tillable property to the nearest farmer. The thought of emptying the house to rent or sell is overwhelming to some people, and the children could be in their late 80's.

It's possible at 100 yrs of age that she out lived her child/children. Her offspring might possibly be 70-80 themselves. People that age don't have the ability to go through all that stuff. They might be in nursing homes. They might have dementia etc. Grandkids might be in their 60's with start of dementia. Might not have even been grandkids etc. Family fallouts. Could be a million reasons. But it is always so sad. Now the house and stuff in it is just ruined😢.

@@barbarahendryx809 When my grandparents passed at 102 & 98 they passed within 8 days of each other. They had one daughter, my mom. My dad was an only child too. Both passed before my grandparents. We have 5 kids in our family. No one wanted antiques or other belongings. It wasn’t their style. So I moved into their home and am very happy and I know they would be too. I love and respect all they left. I have very fond memories of my life in this house. If the woman was 100 years old in 2014, she would have been born in 1914. The wedding pictures were probably of one of the couple’s children based on the clothing style. The rugs were likely commercial based on their sizes. What you referred to as a quilt, was a crocheted afghan. I love the respect you show to these old “time capsules “ and the fact that you don’t reveal the locations of your explorations.

I was hoping that someone else would have noticed that the wedding picture couldn't have been the older couples wedding photo, it was in color and the clothes, especially ( the man's military clothes) were from a different Era ( possibly the 60s).

Also surprised there is not more structural damage to the ceilings from no one living there for that long. Also curious why kitchen cabinets are open, most people dont do that. It's a shame that their children didn't come back for their valuables but maybe the place tied up in probate. It's like a museum in there! That house needs properly secured to keep out vandals and thieves. It would be a disaster if this place got destroyed. They loved cats, that's for sure! I wonder if they had some... Looks like stuff I grew up with from the 60s and 70s. Always get a kick at what you call things .Those beautiful rugs are called braided rugs and they are made in a factory. The throw other back of the couch looked to be knitted and the pillow on the chair was crocheted. There is a difference but many people can't tell. When you have a desk " cabinet" like the one you said you liked and had the pi tures on next to the stairs. 2 different ones. The front lifts down, these are called secretaries. One other point. The place was awlfuky clean for sitting empty for so many years. Some body's been dusting. No dust anywhere, just a couple of cobwebs above the doorway where cats were.

I like to think that you Urban explorers are part of that movement to capture these spaces withOUT touching/tossing/vandalizing the place! You can just picture a sweet little old lady puttering around her house checking on her family. Even the 2 separate beds speaks volumes of the time in which she was raised. Hi Big Bankz, I hope this comment finds you well, it saddens me that all her stuff that she held dear for her whole life, is just left to mother nature. It appears she had a good size family, so why didn't the children or her grandchildren, at least take the family photos and donate the furnishings and clothes to charity. Unless it's being help up in the courts, you would think they would sell the house. Anyway, another great find and video. Thanks for sharing. Love from N.Y.

I found your channel today and I love the way you film and how you speak. It’s very soft and doesn't take away from the stories of the places you visit. Plz, don’t change what you’re doing. A lot of these urbex channels are very fast-moving and in your face and not enjoyable. Your content is truly amazing

I took care of an old man in my home for 22 years. He passed at 92, on January 2nd 2023. Taking down his room & his stuff is hard, because I feel like I’m dismissing his life. Things are just things, but I knew what his things meant to him. My point it I appreciate how you extend respect for the fact that her things meant something to her.

This was definitely one of the coolest houses you have explored! I just love how each room could literally depicted the beautiful life they lived. Only thoughts are.. why haven't their loved ones come to take some of those memorable items!

Thank you for the Bible verse. I needed just THAT verse right now. God used you for something completely unrelated to ease my suffering.

Whoever this lady was I love her because she loved cats too. In fact I have the same kitty figurine as the one on the tv. It's sad though, that no family member even tried to clear out the home of wonderful memories, pictures, etc. Not even tried to have an Estate Sale? I guess us random people will admire her treasures and memorabilia from afar. 💕

Great explore. My Mom died at 96 last summer and a bunch of the older things remind me of her things. Wonder where the family is.

What a great house! I loved all the crochet afghans and the beautiful rugs! It is too bad children or grandchildren have not claimed the house and at least cleaned it up and sold it. Sad to see families not taking an interest in their own heritage.

It appears she had a large family. It amazes me the house and all of its contents just left behind. So sad

They may not have been able to get a queen or king sized mattress and box spring up that staircase and around those angles into their bedroom. So they may have had no choice but to put two twin beds in their room. Nowadays you can get those mattresses in a box which expand once you take them out.

Hey BigBankz, just started watching your excellent videos. This video is so sad, and I love your empathy & how careful & sympathetic to the occupants who sadly passed away in such a sad way. Love your phrases to from the bible at the start of the videos, means so much. Thanks for a great video. You have a lovely country, I live in Birmingham England and it's really nice to see these homes in the great USA. Thanks. Andy.

What a beautiful home! I think you mentioned that the heirs were also deceased earlier in the video. You did a wonderful & respectful job explaining the home (I'd love to purchase 1 or 2 of those beautiful braided rugs) !

Just a note regarding the wedding pictures on the fireplace mantle. The picture could not have been the couple who lived and died in the house. You said she was 100 when she died in 2014. That means she was born in about 1914. The couple in the wedding pictures must have been grandchildren or even great grandchildren. From the look of the couple and what they are wearing, I'd say the wedding was in the 1960's or '70's. From all the other family pictures we saw in the bedroom, they must have had quite a few grandchildren or great-grandchildren. It's a shame that no one cared enough to rescue the personal items. Unless the woman of the house insisted on staying there by herself, it's also amazing someone in the family left her by herself. Maybe someone did stay but it doesn't look it. Thanks for sharing this. It was a beautiful home. You do know the room in the cellar was just an early version of what we now call "family room".

This house is beautiful, I am amazed that dust is hardly seen. Again it makes me sad that everything is still there. Why do children, grandchildren or anyone get involved in cleaning up. It just makes me sad. Great job on this one.
