Whats interesting as 100 now can get you a basic RC now that can at least do 20mph. It was the first once i got until i jumped up to a brushless motor one in a sale which does more like 40mph. I doubt I will get an enthusiast level but they are great fun.

I have a $60 Megalodon I purchased from Meijer. Here in Michigan USA. IT is the most durable toy grade Rc I've ever owned. I got my 5 year old nephew one and it was so damn cool I bought one for myself! It has durable foam tires that make it go from land to on top of water. Mind you on water it's slower than piss.. but on land it's QUICK!! . NOT as quick as my Arrma Vorteks but damn is it cool!!

It is awesome! and because is small i was able to make a rad little track in my back yard for it. I drive it more than my X maxx or any other RC. I actually have 3 now, and have over 100 packs though one of them. Eventually the tire foams need replacing and the front diff, other than that its pretty solid.

At least the traxxas slash is only about $200 and includes the battery and a charger. It isnt the best or fastest rc car but its well suited for beginers. It can go about 30 miles per hour and it has a pretty long run time. I have a ton of fun to driving mine around at an elementry school near my house. While I was driving it through some bumpy terain, I noticed one side of the car was low. This was because the screw for mounting the shock to the body came lose from vibration. So it needed a new screw. $2 at the hobby shop for a pack of 4 new screws! And I was back up and running. Save your money and get hobby grade!

My first car was a mini slash definitely worth it I bought it not knowing what hobby grade rc cars were as a 9 year old who only used toy grade rcs my mind was blown

Don’t waste money on buying 4 screws, just get like an assortment of 500 screws for 20 bucks
