I used to have to wake up at 4;00 for my job and watching gmm was a ritual part of my morning routine until I quit that job and moved on. This morning I couldn’t sleep so woke up and decided to get a jump on my day. Saw this notification and was filled with nostalgia. Even older than that. Link was right. It kind of happens by accident. The same way we got yeast, beer, and cheese. Those are the oldest prepared foods. No way jerky was "invented" in the 1500s. You can see Rhett and Link want to object, but it's bad for the brand so they just went with it.

Jerky is soooo much older than that. Indigenous tribes have been around for at least 10k years. And even old samples from ancient egypt have been found. Weve talk about this in my anthropology courses in college. (So it wasnt invented mychical crew, it was discovered by the spanish colonists, thats like saying Christopher Columbus invented America)

The day GMM ends will be a very bad day for us all. Not that it's gonna happen anytime soon. I've just been watching for 10 years of my life and even if I stop watching for a little bit, I always come back and feel at home. And it's hard to imagine the day when I come back to the channel after a break and see a title like "Goodbye to GMM" with a date from "4 months ago". I just hope that's not for at least another 10 years of my life.
