Does great on hills and rivals the dual motor bikes I have. I does use alot of battery and the mid-drives are more work than a hub motor. I always say a hub motor is like an automatic transmission where the mid-drive is like a standard trans and you have to use the bikes gears as a trans in order to get the most out of the battery. They do have rear racks for them also.

Yes. It's designed so you can use the throttle only without the pedals turning.

Great question and not with the newer models such as this one. Previous you had to not throttle when shifting, similar to using a clutch. Now they have "shift sensors" to cut the motor power as you shift so you don't get that 145nm of torque busting the chain. Should have included that in the review.

Definitely a bargain! I beat the crap outta these bikes and have almost 3k miles on my two.
