I travelled with Bruce, Elaine and the broadcast team on that first trip to Russia. I remember witnessing their journey to adopt Elena and Alex... Bruce and Elaine's dedication and love for these children on the other side of the world, will always be inspirational. It's great to see Alex and Elena as young adults, doing so well. :)

This is a remarkable, heartwarming story. There are also many children here in the U.S. who would love a forever family. Some of these children get bounced from foster home to foster home. They need forever homes, too.

Yes and trust me, trying to adopt them becomes increasingly difficult. It took my nephew years and years and 87,700 $ before they finally had a daughter

My husband and I are on a journey to adopt a little boy from Russia! It is so encouraging to hear how you overcame obstacles to adopt your children; especially because there is some uncertainty with Russian adoptions right now. We pray God will provide a way for us to get to our son! Thank you for sharing your story.

You have a very dark way to see life. Why do not you believe that the vast majority of American can adopt Russians to have normal families? Do not watch Rocky IV backward. The American movie producers and political parties want Russians to look bad. But it is not what adoptive parents perceive the Russian kids. Adoptive parents want a family and see their kids as beautiful. It does not come without issues, the kid could not bond because of the kid behavior and/or because of the parents. My question for you, could the orphanage in Russia absorbed 60K to not be adopted by American? Also, the orphanage get a cut $$$ for international adoption for sure! I adopted 5 from Russia and have many friends on FB that adopted from Russia. I think I ended up with the boy that is very difficult to bond with. The rest of 4 , no issues. Working to get this boy now 11 years old on the right track. But I do not say that he is different than any boys with issues anywhere in the world. Maybe I was few years of my childhood with these bad behaviors too! As for drugs, Adoptive American, physicians, specialists are not fast to give drugs, believe me. First reason, this is my son! Physicians and specialists, they could be sued for giving drugs that they should not really give. Be careful about propagandas!
