So happy for you guys to get such a awesome shop, I have been Excavating for 35 years, and to see you guys doing everything right makes me HAPPY. So many times I see people take the short cuts and they pay for it in the end. What people don't understand is that most natural earth, good compaction rate is 80 to 85%, when you put the soil in small lifts at a time and compact it (roller, sheep's foot, or vibrated), you can reach 90 to 95% compaction rate. Great job Bro's, I love the shop, Hvac is the way to go. Lot's of love from the American Hillbilly and the Hillbilly Nation, Hillbilly Up brother.

My dad currently does spray foam insulation. From what I’ve understood, for fully foamed buildings, they recommend putting a fresh air system to help keep moisture down

The quality of work is insane! Absolutely perfect grading. The barriers are lined up exactly straight. Then the insulation work is great too. Out of all the closed/open cell insulation applications I've seen that is the cleanest by far.

If you ever get heavy rain, you may need to actually pin the blocks into the ground. I watched a retaining wall fail in the spring during snow melt here. Saturated soil just hydraulic'd the blocks right over and slowly leveled itself out.

@leftyeh64952 жыл бұрын
As crappy as it looks, you should cover the perlins with insulation also. Without it they will heat transfer directly from the sheeting and cause unnecessary heat gain. Any time you can encapsulate steel that is attached to the siding you'll gain utility savings even if it's ugly.
