This is the only sitcom that I have ever watched in my life where I would often find myself crying with laughter and then just plain crying. From one moment to the next, it could truly pack an emotional punch. I suppose that this would best be put down to great writing, because I don't know what else it would be to which it could be ascribed, and whence then came all of the emotional resonance on display in so many episodes. Good job, Sam...if, indeed, that is your real name!

Actually, "Die Anfänger" is just a subtitle here in Germany. It's "Scrubs - Die Anfänger". But no one here calls it "Die Anfänger" or would immediately know what you're talking about, if you referred to the show like that. Just say Scrubs.

Maybe you correct this later, but most fans no season 9 was not Bill Lawrence's choice. He is even on record stating that he considers it a spin off instead of another season.

Also Murphy's Law is named after an American test pilot who was the first to break the sound barrier, originally it is known and still is in UK as Sod's Law.

Just finished listening to the podcast “Fake Doctors, Real Friends” and it really brought me back to some good times. This show was so much fun to watch when it came out!

Elliot doesn't necessarily spoil the whole 'imaginary janitor' joke, if you watch carefully she doesn't address him directly, they could always have gone back and revealed she was speaking to some else offscreen.

Per bill lawrence, dr. jan itor was absent from one season one episode because he did not have a series regular contract as he did not audition for the role. lawrence talked the studio into making him a regular in season 2. It was discussed during an episode of the braff and faison "real friends, fake doctors" podcast

About fact 86, People thought that when Rowdy came back in season 6 was when they found him, but in "Fake Doctors, Real Friends" they revealed that they found Rowdy pretty quickly after it was hidden. It is still why they got Steven, but I just wanted to point that out.

Fun fact: In seasons 3/5, Dr Cox is seen with facial hair. Both times he was going through a hard time because he lost people or felt depressed, depression hair I guess. When he lost Ben and 3 patients to rabies. Only two times he had a beard in the show. Also, in season 5 when JD helps Perry overcome his guilt for the patient’s deaths, he calls him by his actual name...JD. I’m 99% sure this was the only time he did so. Love this show

Looking back on Scrubs in 2020 makes me realize how many sexist/racist jokes were on that show. They put Zach Braff in black/brownface quite a bit. Not to mention Dr. Cox calling JD by a girl's name at every opportunity. It sucks, because the show had good enough writers that it could have been just as funny without them feeding into that kind of thing. That said, it's still an incredible piece of television history. My Lunch and My Screw Up are right up there with some of the saddest TV episodes I've ever seen.

If you don’t want your shows/movies retroactively edited _cough_ Star Wars _cough_ or lost to time and licensing, you gotta go DVD or BluRay. Get a good ripper and have the best of both worlds. Guys, I found yesterday a podcast about Scrubs with Zach (JD) and Donald (Turk). Fake Doctors, Real Friends. They rewatch Scrubs and talking about the show and the cast.

Just because no german guy would understand your pronounciation of 'Die Anfänger', I'll try and give a little phonetic help: 'Dee Anvaengerr' is what it would sound like in englisch, the 'ae' sound is basically the sound you'd also use to pronounce the word 'friend' ( that's for our letter 'ä' which you guys do not use ) - well, not really, but it's the best thing I can think of to explain the sound of that letter to someone who has never used it. It sounds 95% correct, let me put it like this. That said, the show's title was 'Scrubs - Die Anfänger', which translates to 'Scrubs - The Beginners'. So the show was basically called 'Scrubs' and 'Scrubs' only, the 'Die Anfänger' part is just an added subtitle to convey some information to viewers that do not understand what the english word 'scrubs' refers to when reading about the show in a TV magazine. This is very commonplace in german television - 40 years ago we translated english shows' titles into german, nowadays we leave the original title and add a german subtitle. Some small examples: 'U.S. Border Patrol - Einsatz an der Grenze' ( U.S Border Patrol - Operations At The Border ), 'Bones - Die Knochenjägerin' ( Bones - The Bone Hunter ), Olympus Has Fallen - Die Welt in Gefahr ( Olympus Has Fallen - World in Danger ).
