I heard that David Prowse was given the choice of playing Darth Vader or Chewbacca. He chose Vader because he didn't want to work in a "gorilla suit". When Peter Mayhew was told he was going to play Chewbacca instead of Vader, he was happy because he didn't want to be a bad guy.

The obi wan ascension thing went over my head for the longest time. I was always just like "Was Obi Wan just so old, he turned into dust when Vader sliced him?"

About the Midi-Chlorians: NO!!! They are not the Force and they don't create the Force, this is a common misconception over analysed and misinterpreted by almost everyone. My understanding about them is that while they're based on the Mitochondria DNA part of cell structure that escalates cell activity (not to get too logical here). The Force has always been a mystical power that binds everything in the universe, however it is actually the midi-chlorians that are created by the Force, thus beings who are force sensitive can have a physical connection to the Force. It is also in my understanding, this sort of is connected to the Original trilogy, If beings could have a physical connection to the Force it could in fact be inheritable along the lines of generations. While it's revealed in Return of the Jedi that Leia is in fact Luke's sister, he was thus able to communicate via the Force to Leia in The Empire Strikes Back, keeping in mind both of them just happen to be descended from Anakin/Darth Vader, so really it's not like Luke could communicate to everyone via the Force. Also did it not occur to some people within an important scene in Revenge of the Sith, the Opera scene where Palpatine mentions to Anakin that Darth Plagueis could manipulate the Midi-Cholrians to create life and live longer. So really, Midi-Chlorians-being-dropped-after-Phantom-Menace MY ASS!!!!!! Doesn't anyone listen to the bloody dialogue!!!!

S.L.J kind of expanded the lore of lightsabers. Eventually purple would come to represent a Jedi with a perfect balance of the Good and the Dark side. They would be among some of the most powerful Jedi having that slight discipline in dark arts

When filming the Empire Strikes Back in Iceland, one of the first scenes they shot was Luke escaping from the wampa's den and rolling down a hill. They did this because a massive storm hit on the first day of shooting and snowed them into their hotel. Rather than waste time sitting around drinking cocoa, the crew propped open the back door of the hotel, sent Mark Hamill out into the blizzard, and filmed him rolling down a snowdrift multiple times while the rest of the cast and crew sat inside and drank hot cocoa.
