i played liberty hill they just have a bunch of players in the back field and do like 3 hand fakes in one play we had to run a man on defense so everybody just followed a certain player

@@1luhjavo We played Angleton High School my senior year and they run a similar offense that my school ran (split back veer) only difference was it consisted of many fake handoffs and quick pitch plays where the QB becomes a blocker.

@@1luhjavo Liberty Hill has a long stapled tradition of running the slot t. They won state twice and always have deep playoff runs. Some of the best teams in Texas have a strong running game

Dude... Im just going to say it... the valley has not seen this kinda high octane offensive performance in 4th round , at the 5A level, in valley history... The 2003 Port Isabel Tarpons did this at the 2a level in the 4th round vs Altar rice and won 61-63 in triple OT Then lost in the 5th round, thats the only school that comes to mind that played at this high of a level of football in the valley. This game was ridiculous! Pioneer's Making a statement. maybe valley teams are state champion material or progressing to that level much faster. Hellova job DIAMONDBACKS!!! WAYTA GIT'M BOYS!!

I have to laugh though because you said Judson Wagner and I keep thinking of that interview I saw with Coach Gilpin saying" we didn't know that Judson Wagner would be the big bad wolf now." We don't call it not does the UIL even though it's in Judson ISD. It's either Converse Judson or San Antonio Wagner as they are located in different cities. But I like "Big Bad Judson Wagner" lol

Watching Pioneer never give up is the best aspect of this game, not that Liberty Hill actually won. LH was thinking in the first quarter that the game was going to be a cakewalk; that Pioneer was just another easy RGV team. But by the third quarter, LH was thinking "oh sh@# these guys can actually beat us. " The main difference is that LH made a stop and blocked field goal when Pioneer closed the gap to one point. LH was the better team when they needed to be. If Pioneer scored on that drive at 42-41 to take the lead, however, they probably upset LH because LH defensive backs were gassed trying to cover all of Pioneer's receivers. Pioneer just needed to ensure they had ball last to keep lead, not try to achieve it. Either way, LH matched up much better versus Crosby the following week. Crosby would have beaten Pioneer much easier than they did LH.

This offense is called the slot t... Its primarily run by smaller schools in south texas that dont get a ton of kids coming out to play football... Liberty hill has run the offense for 20 years and up until this year they've played in the small school ranks.... This is there first year playing at the 5a level in texas and they made the state semifinals....i would say this is impressive because no one in the big school ranks in Texas of note (class 5a and 6a) runs this type of offense

These schools are in areas with small amounts of black folk. Pioneer is in the RGV area by the border and Liberty Hill is a predominately white county town thats becoming suburban

Liberty hill had a t offense and quick. They would almost always have different motions and play actions. And the qb did a good job of hiding the ball
