i don't want to sound cheesy, but Freddie Mercury was really one of those people that I'm so glad that God put on this earth. to share his talent, and his love for making something so beautiful... i love it. he's brought a smile to my sour face so many times, and I am so thankful!

Sorry but you don't sound cheesy, you sound stupid because you believe there is a god... Christianity is homophobic so why bring a god up when you are talking about Freddie?

When my time is up. My only Regret will be never seeing Queen Live! Freddie Mercury Will Always Be the BEST of the BEST! He had more Talent in his Little Finger than most! As a Front Man, WOW. Science is still studying His Vocal Range, Calling Him Unbelievable! I Love Queen. But my Heart Belongs to Freddie! RIP Freddie Mercury ❤❤

people always refer to Freddie as that extravagant, crazy party man who would always be the big head and that is the image Queen wanted people to have of him in the movie, but the reason i love Freddie so much is because i identify with him, the feeling of being lonely even if you have so much and your only release of pain is through music

Freddie got his degree/diploma from a great Art school and he constantly shared his skill and thinking. They were four intelligent, educated guys who loved music and entertaining. We continue to benefit from Queens wonderfulness! And I cry . . .hmmmm ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ EDIT ... surely Freddie never imagined how very sad his leaving would affect generations to come.

It's heartbreaking that Brian and Roger felt the need to trash Freddie in Bohemian Rhapsody and make him look like a spoiled, selfish diva when all we have to do is watch these interviews and see that Freddie was kind, compassionate and always credited the other members of the band for their talent and contributions.
@m.i.action8148
@m.i.action8148 5 ай бұрын
Brian and Roger very much loved Freddie. They didn’t trash him, sure the movie was a bit off of reality but they all were a different than how the script was written. It was meant to be a very surface level of the members since they had their entire career to go through in two hours with no seeable sequels until after the release. Truth is they were like a family, ups and downs, fights. People fail to see how it really shows how broken Freddie felt at times through his relationship with Paul Prenter. Queen really struggled because of Pauls influence on Freddie. Of course Freddie knew what Paul was doing, he used him to fill a void in his life which nearly broke the band. Even in Freddie’s dark dry humor there is some truth to it. Many interviews you can hear how Freddie had a very emotional upbringing that stayed with him.
@mikaylachapman9036
@mikaylachapman9036 5 ай бұрын
Brian and Roger had almost nothing to do with Bohemian Rhapsody's script. They were producers and consultants on the film, and they worked a lot with the cast, but they had very little say in the film's writing. They didn't trash Freddie, the writers did.
@debra2700
@debra2700 5 ай бұрын
@@mikaylachapman9036 Brian and Roger had everything to do with the movie. They were the ones who negotiated with and fired Sacha Baron Cohen because after six years of discussions, Cohen said he thought the idea of Freddie dying half way through the movie of AIDS and the remaining three going on "from strength to strength" was ridiculous, that you didn't kill off the lead character half way into a movie. Brian and Roger were producers. Producers produce a movie and they have complete input and control over the final product. Would you stand by and allow the man you claim to love and respect get trashed and made to look like a spoiled, selfish diva and make $90 million each doing so? If the writers trashed Freddie, Brian and Roger could have walked away instead of basking in the glory of the movie but they chose not to do so.

@@m.i.action8148 Yet Brian, Roger and even John were portrayed as three choir boys who were embarrassed by and put up with Freddie's wild partying as if none of us ever heard of Queen's wild parties or that Freddie was the only one to leave Queen for solo work and ignore the fact that Brian and Roger had done so first when the thing that really bothered them was that Freddie was given a huge advancement for Mr. Bad Guy so that scene of Freddie storming out of the room after hurling insults at the others was invented to help the real men deal with jealousy they couldn't get past decades after Freddie's death. Brian, Roger and John cheated on their wives and girlfriends and could easily have gotten AIDS from women because it happens but it was Freddie's sex life on display in the movie. Yes, Freddie was temperamental but it was that fire in Freddie that made him creative and gifted and yes, Prenter was a pain but it was Freddie who suffered the most for that twisted relationship and tell me that there was no drama going on in the lives of the others that Freddie had to put up with. Does Anita Dobson ring a bell and Brian's "heartbreaking" song about how painful it was for him to cheat on his wife and have to decide which woman he loves more. Yep, no drama there.

Becaz of this man I fell in love with Iran and started learning the Persian language.. And u know what, Freddie is a real Persian.. Extremely Handsome, kind, intelligent, with flaming eyes n flamboyant appearance.. I have even met a guy in a Tehran bazaar who sold carpets and looked almost like Freddie.. I felt really awkward n didn't say anything to him.. Now I wonder if he really is aware of this himself 😅

If you're interested in Persian singers, have you heard of the Persian-Canadian Broadway star Ramin Karimloo? He was born in Tehran, but grew up in Toronto, where he saw The Phantom of the Opera, and decided that he was going to do that one day. And he did! I knew him very briefly in middle school, and we were the most excited kids on that fateful school trip, him because he wanted to sing, and me because I was a baby dancer who wanted to be in ballet school. I never became a professional dancer, but his voice, looks, and stage presence have me convinced along with Freddie than nobody can own a stage like a Persian guy!

Come down people. Many inaccuracies, non of them were saints, but the movie was about Freddie, the best thing to get the attention of the audience was the way they portrayed him. He wasn’t a saint, but he was better artistically than the film presented him. But no wariest, the movie put Queen again into the spotlight. People started searching for the band, Queen is four intelligent members. There is not Freddie or Brian’s guitar playing that made them famous, there was four of them, people starting searching and their legacy gets to the point that they were just as famous or more than they were before. We can’t change the past or the movie, but we can enjoy their music, choose the band mates of your preference, and continues to enjoy their songs passing their legacy to new generations. Freddie is death, but his legacy and Queen’s legacy continues alive.

Quite possibly better than some of the more well-known documentaries and featurettes on Freddie. One could basically know the man from his own words, and his own lyrics. Yes, Freddie was not the arrogant and always promiscuous man as media made him. His stage persona and his private life was so different. And yes he lived premiscuously in one period of his life but IT WAS HIS LIFE and he hurt absolutely nobody while doing it. But I do know that Freddie kinda felt lonely even when he was not lonely. It was his inner feeling not the reality. I am not his psychologist that's why I cannot really analyze the reason but his personal assistant Peter Freestone said the same thing. He said Freddie had very large close circle, and he lived with his closest friends and his husband who all took care of him every single day until he died. Phoebe (Peter Freestone) said that he had his ups and downs and whenever his mood is low, or he was mad at his friends he would say he was lonely. I am happy that he was actually not lonely and there was a lot of people around who he trusted on but it is sad that Freddie still felt lonely time to time.

I think the movie had a lot of inaccuracies. Personally I don’t care too much about it. Why? Because it let open a can of warms. In one hand people digging in Queen music, created a new generation of fans after they saw the movie. People was interested to know not only Queen’s discography, but everything about them. I think it helps all of them get the recognition each one deserves as individuals and as a group of musicians. None of them were saints they are human. Freddie Mercury was the center and the main character of the band, because his lifestyle. People was or are chocking that he was gay, and rejected him for that, focused only in that part of his personal life and his flaws. Most don’t want to hear his music or anything else about him because he was gay. Otherwise the movie let people go dig more in his life “Freddie’s life, personal, private, and as a musician. It gives him a chance gets him a lot of new fans. Fans that appreciate him for what he was. No matter of his lifestyle or flaws, they love him, his music, his talents, accepting him as a human being regardless of his bad choices and mistakes. Professional he was unique and worked very hard to become the person he wanted to be as a musician.

Freddie acknowledging 'rich' is, to me, due to the perfect character I ascribe to Freddie Mercury. However, while understandably recalling how we know, thru prying interviewers, of his over-the-top spending AND generosity - GOOD, he has money (is rich) and it's nothing he is coveting. His mind and body worked diligently for it...he's not bragging, acknowledging a fact. Good for him. Many of us who are 'wanting' and 'needing' are also 'rich' compared to many others.
