The third of three salmon landed by local angler James, during an eventful day on the Ness.
A typical spring day in the Scottish Highlands, with all four seasons experienced during the course of our day.
A light North Easterly (upstream) wind ensured there was always a cold edge to the wind. Air temperature was 14 degrees and the water temperature was 12 degrees. The river was standing at minus 5.5" on our gauge, which is around plus 2.5" on the SEPA gauge at Ness Side.
A great result for James and another gentle reminder of how casting well and covering the water, will often reap its rewards.

What a stunning fish James well done . I might take one of my Orange Cascades and liquidise it see what happens that is amazing .
