The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is set during the 10th annual Hunger Games. This is 64 years before the Hunger Games Katniss and Peeta compete in. In this video I breakdown how District 12 tribute, Lucy Gray Baird, with the help of her mentor, future President of Panem, Coriolanus Snow wins the 10th Hunger Games. As the 23 other tributes ultimately fall for this songbird to rise.

Considering the Capitol is barely enacting Taxation Laws to start rebuilding the Capitol during this book timeline, it’s likely that the 11th games took place in the same Capitol arena. Perhaps it was also used for a few more years after that until new game makers started coming up with new technological advances to turn the games into what we see 64 years later.

The same people in the comments claiming “spoilers” are the same people screaming about the FNaF movie being spoiled by the games. The books came out before the movie and it has been discussed heavily.

After watching the new promo of the games beginning, I think they might rewrite some of the fates of the tributes, because it looks like Coral kills one with her trident during the initial bloodbath which doesn't happen in the books

They did. In the first trailer when you hear Lucky introduce himself you can see the screens behind him showing what tributes are left. In the book only 15 made it into the arena but it appears 19 will make it to the arena to make a bloodbath scene possible and make it more exciting for the audience.

It is but considering all of the promotional stuff that have been coming out that shows Lucy Gray with Snow back in district 12 it’s kind of clear that she makes it out. So more of that blame is on the marketing team lol

The book came out before the movie. People have discussed this topic before the trailers even came out and the book is years old at this point. But suddenly now that trailers are out it’s spoiler heavy? Lucy winning has been knowledge all over the internet for 4 years, you’re just seeing it now.

Well the question is “how did Lucy Gray win” so non book readers should assume that it’s going to show spoilers about how she made it out from the book

Here’s the thing. If it was targeted for movie goers, how’d she know everything that goes on? It’s obviously targeted to the book readers, and I’m sure the movie is going to shy away from the exact book anyways so it won’t be accurate to the movie. There being an actual bloodbath in the trailer is proof enough that it’s already different and these “spoilers” aren’t going to be movie correct

SPOILER ALERT!! snow give her the poison before the game started. and it will consider as cheating towards the game rules and after that snow got his punishment by being a peacekeeper for the district 12

@@marchelmetrexsteve6042wrong, snow gave her his mother’s little box thingy that he holds sentimental value of, then he told her to get the rat poison that was inside the zoo cage that was being used to get rid of the rats of course and the raccoons that wandered the area.
