Good Times is an American sitcom that aired on CBS from February 1974 to august 1779. The sitcom aired for six seasons with a total of 133 episodes. The sitcom was created by Eric Monte and Mike Evan , was produced by Norman Lear. It was the first African American two parented family sitcom. Good times was the first television spin-off from another spin Off. In 2020, the show was announced that it will be animinated and would be produced by Sony pictures aminations. Good times was one of the greatest shows of its time and it attracted a lot of cast members such as Esther Rolle and John Amos. The comedy tv series, Good Times had many cast members and, in this video, will feature some of the cast members who died in real life such as Esther Role, Janet DuBois, Albert Reed, Teddy Wilson, Moses Gunn, Mike Evans, Hellen Martin, Raymond Allen, Marilyn Coleman, Alice Ghostley, and Ben Powers.

I learn a lot from this show when the Evans family sometimes struggle to get up on their feet but james helps them pull it together and don't give up on their selves and I still love this show

I arrived from Cuba in 1980 when I was 12 years old and without speaking any english I sat down to watch this amazing sitcom and somehow understood everything that was happening, I had an excellent time and having fun like never before, in 2000 I bought the entire collection and 41 years later at 53 yrs old I’m still having fun and really an amazing Good times!!!! Wow!

Stymie Beard who played Monty, Ron Glass who played Michael’s school principal as well as a blind encyclopedia salesman, Thalmus Rasulala who played James Sr’s friend who had a gambling problem and also Florida’s employer, Bubba Smith who played one of Sweet Daddy Williams’ goons, John Anthony Bailey who played Cousin Cleatus Jackson, Roscoe Lee Brown who played a crooked televangelist, Charlotte Rae who played the employee who wanted her boss to hire James, Percy Rodrigues who played Florida’s rich cousin Edgar, Gary Coleman who played a bratty kid who rode on Florida’s school bus, Calvin Lockhart who played Florida’s cousin Raymond, and Shirley Hemphill who played a mentally challenged friend. I’m sure there’s more, but those stuck out as notable overlooks

The actor who played Henry Evans was Richard Ward. He died in 1979. The actress who played his girlfriend/fiancee was Paulene Myers. She died in 1996.

Not company owned black folks. These were activists that cared about positive black representation. Like I said most today are white company owned sock puppets.

I liked the season finale how everyone was doing great, including Florida and Thelma was pregnant. Keith gained a better contract with the Chicago Bears and was able to get back on his feet financially to purchase a condo, just for Wilona and Florida to still be neighbors. ❤️

Neither celebrity in the thumbnail had died and this is very disrespectful for you to mislead people. If you’re going to do a documentary upon a person’s life/career? Start off with the individual(s) who are no longer here as your thumbnail and get your views/likes in that manner, instead of click baiting people.

I agree with you Mike. So much of that nonsense here on KZfaq. Putting Janet Jackson in the thumbnail is so cheap and tacky, all in the name of getting clicks. Damn Shame. RIP to all of the cast who have passed on.

They were all great actor's I remember watching all of them in different shows they appeared on. Might have had short line's on the shows, but when they did you recognized them from other shows.

@@rodneywilliams6000 Dude , I don't know where you get your information but Miss Stsnis's 4 marriages were to : Thomas Fauntleroy 1974 to 1978 Darnell Johnson in 1979 (Which lasted mere months) She then married a non show business husband Terrence Redd, in 1981.and they had a daughter born in 1982. Not long after was 4th husband Kevin Fontana. She was never married to Ken Powers. I e watched and followed this show since 1974 , so don't try and tell me she was... I know better.

Wasn’t Mike Evans the Jefferson’s son in “All In The Family” Lionel? He always had good comebacks to Archie Bunker, and left Archie standing there with a “What the hell just happened” look on his face! And Mike Stivict Archies son in law laughing in the background!

My real life 2nd cousin Brenda Sykes played “Mandy” JJ’s girlfriend who was smoking the cigarette and Penny found it and burned a hole in the sofa. She’s still just as beautiful.

@@rahlohmcdonogh4855 yes her mom (my great aunt Elvie is my grandfather’s sister) they’re originally from Minden, Louisiana born to the Winzer family (that’s Aunt Elvie’s maiden name that’s my maiden name is a large African American family in that area of German decent it’s very interesting they do a big event every few years.

I grew up watching that show just like all of you, but they forgot one, James friend. He was Stymie in Little Rascal. Growing up in a single parent home, I thought they were lucky to have there father in the house. James was a real man, perfect image to put out for blk family's, strong and hard working. RIP to all that past!
