11 DIY PROJECTS USING YARD SALE & DOLLAR TREE ITEMS!

In this video I show how to create 11 DIY projects using $1 - $2 items, purchased from the Dollar Tree and from yard sales. I repurpose several frames showing many ways you can transform an inexpensive frame into a shabby chic, French country, farmhouse decor piece. I show how easy it is to use chalk paint, stencils, IOD (Iron Orchid Design) stamps, sola wood flowers and other embellishments to create shadow boxes, wall decor or tiered tray additions. I also makeover 2 silverware wood storage boxes that were yard sale finds and show new stencils I've purchased from Amazon to make these into beautiful shabby chic storage boxes for crafting supplies, jewelry or mail. Lots of decor projects that are easy, budget friendly and lots of fun to make!

@Ourgreenacres Teresa do you use a softener with your sola wood flowers? I wrote another member that sells the flowers and also shows you how to do them, but they said that it’s essential that I use the softener for them. Also they said that I should use their dyes too. I’ve seen you use just the paint and make it real thin with water. I’d much rather do your way. I just think they are trying to sell me something that I don’t need. What do you think?

Teresa I am 8o years old and I have always loved using what u have you are a wonder.And again You need a tv show. Tv is not very good any more and a show like yours would be wonderful.I have to say this their is a lot of good crafters out there but they are not ready like u are. Love your videos. Saw an answer to a question on google where someone asked if Shabby chic was out of style. The answer was yes and I totally disagree! Shabby chic is a lovely decor that is here to stay forever as far as I'm concerned. Who are these design gurus with their negative ideas about design. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think everything you do is great.

Enjoyed your video so much. All your projects were beautiful! I especially loved the cutlery boxes. I have my grandmothers for about 40 years now and who knows how long she had it. It is in rough shape but to paint and distress it with her french language stenciled on it would make it a special memory. Thank you!

I love using the wax method and I learned it from YOU! I use to add petroleum and I have used soy wax candles before and they never worked well but now I use bee's wax and it makes a huge difference! Extra serving pieces....went in drawer....Sterling Silver boxes when you registered at engagement....such a lovely time ....Mom's was on top our icebox....refr)...along w switches fr bushes out side).to switch our little legs when naughty...which was never Granmom sooo sweet...but Karen would climb up & brake switches into...haha!😋😇

I have one of those lovely SterS boxes right now in my living room pile of future protects....))!...yes perfect for make up/ cosmetics..jewerly or silverware! All padded so nicely....but i need a vintage library card catalog on legs , for all my cosmetics...hah 💄
