Your video showed a bowl of oatmeal with raisins on top of it. Did YOU know that raisins are toxic to cats? People watching your video need to be very aware of this! I would hate to see someone take this photo literally and feed their cats oatmeal with raisins on it which would at least make them sick or possibly kill them.

Please research more before you give your cat any human food. The foods in this video are okay, but some of them had extras on them like raisins (on the oatmeal: 2:15 to 2:18) and those are toxic for cats. I hope you and your kitten will be very happy together :)

Also I do not recommend any grains for cats. No bread no oatmeal no rice. These can cause problems for your cat's kidneys as they werent meant to eat this food normally. It won't kill them if they happened to eat it after some has been dropped but it should definitely not be a part of regular diet.

I agree - we tried so hard to find a good food with proper pure meat of 70-95% per tin and no (hidden) sugar, no grains... and here they teach people to feed it to them... a little bit won't hurt them (our older one is licking my porridge if he has a chance), but it's definitely not good for them. And I hope people who watch this video are aware that they should not give salted/spiced meat to cats. We fry their amount of chicken/turkey in a pan with only a little bit of oil (half raw only, because they are not used to raw), then we prepare our food with everything else. But the effect of giving them 100% meat is enormous - bouncing balls afterwards.

That is true! but u can give your cat white rice if they have stomach problems. Rice is helpful to a cats stomach and a lot of vets recommend it. But be sure to talk to your vet about giving rice as it should not be fed to every cat regularly.

I remember when I fed my cat the first piece of banana.. that's when it all began. I would often find him on my keyboard looking guiltt. soon he would be meowing in Spanish as if to practice . He acted more aloof and then one day he told me that it was over and he bought a ticket to South America to live with a banana farmer.

Spinach is very high in oxalate acid that can cause stones ,kidney stones ,so it's not recommended for cats ,especially if the cat has ,or is prone to lower urinary tract disease !💜🥁🐉🎤💕💞

I give my cats, cat food, chicken, fish, meat, corn - all boiled. Nothing is given raw, in order to avoid infection. I also grow grass in pots, which they love to eat everyday. Clean Grass is very important for them

You didn't mention green beans, but I'm sure they are fine: because my cat that loves them would have croaked by now if they weren't! He started asking for some when he saw his doggy siblings having them, and he throws a fit if he doesn't get some when they do. I give him 3 or 4 cut green beans from the can. He'd eat a lot more but I limit him to just a few. Weird that he loves them so much!

I had a cat that loved chicken liver. My mom would buy a small tub of them and fry them in a skillet. The cat would stand next to her while she cooked them. She went crazy for them. Mom would fry up that treat about once a month.

My parents have a neighbouring cat that comes to visit quite often, and he gets small treats on special days. Once my dad was fileting a whole fish and gave the small scraps that people don't eat to the cat and he loved it. If he did throw up the neighbours would probably had said so. I found it a bit concerning googling "can cats eat raw fish?" today because there were so many articles telling me no while there also were articles saying yes.

Their body isn't built for digesting vegetables, fruits and plants. 90% of a cat's diet is made of fish. Basically the video is a lie, make sure you do research on this, some people impulsively get cats. please don't feed your cat human food, a little bit won't hurt as much but it's best you don't.

My cat likes homemade meals such as fried fish, fish bone, chicken bone and anything related to meat. She used to enjoy packed food, but she relize homemade meal more fresh and healthy. How smart she is. Now packed food is her snack food

You do know that cats are obligate carnivores, right? Please look up the definition of obligate carnivores... just because they can or will eat something, doesn't mean its healthy for them... a human can eat broken glass and metal screws... it doesn't mean its digestible or good for them... humans and dogs are omnivores, meaning they can get nutrition from plants and/or animal proteins... cats are not omnivores... obligate carnivores cannot gain any nutrition from any kinds of plant based sources, including pumpkins, sweet potatoes and all the other "healthy" food you assume you eat is good for cats... it's not... they cannot process it, at best, it does nothing for them, at worst, it can hurt them, cause illnesses and cancer... don't fight science and nature based on human vegan beliefs... cats are obligate carnivores... I say this because I care about YOUR cats... do them a favor and look up what that term means and reconsider lists like this that are based more on feel goods, than actual science... feed your cat what is healthy for them, not for you.

Ive noticed my cat has liked the juices from peas and carrots as well as canned fruits for years! She gets all excited when I open a can of any of them. Now im glad to know I can feed her the actual fruit or vegetable! I plan to start mixing my own canned meals shortly and will include the fruits and veggies with the fish and chicken I'll be feeding them! Thanks for your help!

As wonderful as it is to feed a stray this video got a lot wrong. I’m the butler of a very sick kitty whom is also very picky. I did a lot of research with my vet on cat diets. The rule of thumb is if it’s not in their preys digestive system cats cannot digest it themselves. So be careful when trying to make food for a cat. As a treat they can have pumpkin, sweet potato, asparagus are some of the best ones we have found. But meat is best, not dried as that can bind in their stomach’s.

Chels Bells excellent advice. I too am taking over care for a (older) cat & was sad to discover symptoms of diabetes. He was on a diet of purely dry food, which is terrible for cats, as well as being given treats daily (& far too many at that)! We have switched him over to wet exclusively (no more treats) & are in the process of finding a suitable food for long term. After doing research into cat food, it is absolutely appalling what you find in the ingredient lists of many of the brands on the market!😠 We are hoping a reversal in diet will help..

Not bread, it can harm them, especially wheat. They can eat rice though. Also, do not feed them raisins, it's toxic to them

i looked it up to make sure after your message it says for adult cats strawberries should be limited to 1 per day because of the high sugar content. i'm not sure about kittens none of my cats have tried to eat human food as kittens so i've not researched it or made lists for them.

you can also freeze your salmon for a week and then unthaw it, that will kill the parasites. you should always assume salmon has a few worms. Another way to get rid of the worms from fresh salmon is to just put your fillets in a bucket of.water and let them sink to the bottom. eventually all the worms will come out because they dont want to drown, kind of ironic but its true. I'm a commercial salmon fisherwoman of 10+ years so i know lol

@@chelsbells408 Awesome!! Yeah I would like to make fresh seafood for my cat with the sardines, smelt, or anchovies we get in out net sometimes. I thought that would be nice. I also would like to figure out if i can have him on the fishing boat 😊 Oh yeah the general rule of thumb from my fishing friends is at least 5-7 days, before unthawing. Those lil worms ARE parasites, they can be hard to kill. For the soaking underwater trick, I just used salt water, and I think a 15-20 minute soak got them all out. You have to be diligent with this method cause the kitty is relying on you to not get a worm! So you have to make sure to scoop them all out from the top of the water.. gross, I know, but you wouldn't want one to get on the fillet when you took it out! just make sure and check the fillets thoroughly when you take them out. any stragglers will be definitely trying to get out and wirgling about making themselves obvious.

@@Yourfriendinendtimes You can have a cat on the boat you just need to have a litter box that would be sustainable for throwing overboard to clean. I can’t add any salt to my cats food because he is sick my vet and I have been through three years of hell getting him back on the right track and he’s finally healthy again so we have to watch everything he eats. All the seafood I gave him has to be washed with fresh filtered water so I’m wondering if I soak the filets with just plain water if that would get rid of any worms.

I'm very concerned about the ash content in any kind of fish in my cats diet because of FUS, Feline urologic syndrome. I've lost two cats to this disease one never had even hard one kibble with fish in it. It's a silent but, DEADLY disease. Is fish oil high or low in ash content? Thank you God Bless you 🙏

I was eating some guacamole one day when my cat started begging for some. It had onion, lemon juice, and jalapeno in it, so eventually I held the bowl in front of him so he could sniff it and see that it wasn't cat food. To my absolute shock, he sniffed it and then licked it. I was so shocked that I didn't think to pull the bowl back. As he swallowed, he winced in pain. Then he leaned forward...and licked more of it, with the same reaction. Lick, wince, lick, wince, lick, wince... Most hilarious thing I *ever* saw a cat do!

Both my cats loooooooooove well-cooked scrambled eggs. They are super amazing for them, especially if you have a baby cat that needs to be fattened because eggs have complete proteins and healthy fats. And regarding spinach, my older cat loves it too. It's super healthy, but do be aware that green leaves may have some effects on your cats' kidneys and gut health. Again, no matter what you're feeding your cat, always make sure you do NOT give them raw foods that you would otherwise eat cooked.

Our cats love bread, we can't leave a bag of bread on the table or they will tear the bag open and eat it. They love cantaloupe, we give them the rinds after we eat the melon. Our youngest cat has a sweet tooth, if we are baking something sweet and have the bowl in the sink while we are putting the stuff in the oven she will jump in the sink and lick the bowl. She also tries to steal crackers away from us if we are eating them (she loves cheese crackers) and will lick cooking pots while we are doing dishes. She was abandoned on the street at less than 5 wks old.
