Dredd's eyes are bionic, he was blinded during the City of the Dead storyline. As for being a lie detector Judges can either use Birdies ( portable lie detectors ) or rely upon Psi Division.

no psi powers for dredd. it is repeatedly said and stated dredd has 0 psi abilities as on none zip nada niet no nope. several heads of psi divisions stated so including a regular charachter that is semi regular psi judge anderosn who according to lore s one f the most powerful psychics in dredd universe. the reason for dredds abilities are natural and honed from years of training and use that seem to be almost a psi ability

The only issue I had in Dredd (2012) was the costume. The helmet is pretty spot-on, but nothing else is remotely comic accurate

The movie uniform looks way better. Wearing those huge shoulder pads, makes the comic version Judges walking targets. And they seemingly don't do much in the way of protection either. I mind reading an Anderson PSi story once, and one of the cannon fodder judges with her, had his shoulder sliced by a flying buzz saw blade, despite of the huge shoulder "armour" he was wearing.

As someone says bionic eyes, the helmet has many audio enhancement capabilities, ear protection anti-dazzle, and such. He also repeatedly referred to as double zero rated on the psionic scale which makes him difficult to read for Psi's and gives him no psionic ability whatsoever. Training and years of experience would give him preternatural abilities to read a situation and room. disease resistant perhaps, but not immune, admittedly it was a big dose but he did succumb to the Block Mania virus. I'm with Rowdy Yates! Healing abilities. maybe some was done in the cloning process but it was also not the most reliable (Rico anyone) so I imagine just tweaked and hence mediheals and such along with the re-juve systems. Putting forward all these as Powers is a bit silly especially when they've missed the biggest one of all. Pure unadulterated stubbornness... see The Dead Man for proof!
