Minecarts are extremely useful for getting mobs into little spots for farms, or transporting mobs nametags prevent mobs from despawning for farms.

I feel like a lot of items in Minecraft exist just for the sole purpose of making the atmosphere feel more alive and the game more realistic. For example, farming potatoes don't always have a 100% success rate, thus why the poisonous potato exists.

8:49 I think Minecraft’s stance here isn’t necessarily to say something against animal cruelty, but rather specifically so the game doesn’t say anything against harming *endangered* animals. The idea they have against adding sharks to the game would be that either 1, if they were either hostile or meant to be hunted, they feel it might accidentally spread negative beliefs about sharks, or 2, if they made them peaceful, it could cause kids to be *too* trusting of sharks in real life. Granted, they could make them neutral, so they’d only attack if you provoke them or stay close to them for too long, but then what would be the point of them at this point? You’d have no reason to hunt them, no way to befriend them, and they’d add no challenge to the game. In fact, this is basically what they did with Polar Bears, and now they’re one of the least popular mobs in the game.

Nametags are very useful. Literally we have hundreds of mobs some for aesthetics, some for farms and name tags allow them to not despawn. It’s a very useful tool.

Okay though, on the topic of the compass, in real life, they always point north, making them a BIT more useful. Here's how to use them. Say you walk away from your house, but before you leave, you look at your compass and decide to head... let's say... North. You try to keep walking in a straight line, but eventually you look at your compass, and notice you've starting going east. So, with that knowledge, you can approximate the direction back to your house by going southwest, which will eventually put you in proximity to your house, or at least bring you to an area you recognize. The same can be done with the minecraft compass. You head out from home, and notice the compass is pointing directly away from you, meaning you're facing world spawn. So you decide to walk in that direction, but eventually get pulled of track by something. You notice the compass is now pointing to left of you, meaning you took a right somewhere. If you then head in a direction that puts the compass needle facing towards the bottom right of the compass, you'll eventually get back home. Simple geometry. Or you could just make a map with it.

Compass - Make an Overworld equivalent of the lodestone to make the only other feature of it accessible without netherite Maps - Really need a gui to help align the borders so its easier to make larger scale maps of the world. They aren't stupid useful but they are a nice cosmetic to add to your base Pumpkin Pie - Make it like cake, and have it placeable. Poison Potatoes - Why can't you put these in the composter? The compass was incredibly useful for me when I built a base in a creative superflat world near world spawn then got my spawn point changed by deliberately dying to the void 3 times. I had played for hours on that world and without the compass I wouldn't have found it again.

There's only one issue with Minecraft Bedrock and achievements: It never tells you that you got the achievement, and you'd hace to load the app a few times to collect the achievements you unlocked

Almost every item you mention has a very specific use and is very useful. 1) ender dragon egg: As someone who genuinely has a hard time beating the game, it's an important trophy. Besides, I use it as an alarm system: by placing the egg in front of an observer, you can make an alarm system that allows you to set it off while in pvp without having to stop trying to hit stuff. Niche, I agree, but again, I'm not a good gamer, so not having to swap between two actions is a big deal. 2) Map: Especially when I'm making a large build, this is useful simply to get an overview of the area. 3) compass: LODESTONES. Please, these are unmissable in literally every creative world I have ever played in, and if the netherite weren't so difficult to get by, I'd have one at every survival base too. 4) poisonous potato: agree here, these are quite useless, their fuction is mainly to add some diversity to the game. 5) Rabits: If you're playing what I like to call a sahara challenge (single biome: desert), these are your best food source. 6) poition of leaping: That aside, their feet are useful for crafting the potion you mentioned, and I don't know about you but if I'm running from some mobs, that's all the difference (especially leaping 2). Oh, and, let me just go quickly die a million times trying to get the skulls for a wither so I can die another million times and get my base blown up to try to kill it so I can make a beacon I don't have the iron for to power it. Minecarts: Flying with an Elytra (which btw I think you mispronounced the whole vid, but whatever) requires constant steering, aiming, and a supply of rockets. if you're playing on a very large map, and want to go back and forth from your mountain base where you stripmine and your plains base in a village a lot, this is infinitely easier. Besides, don't get me started on how hard it is to get an Elytra for average people. Just beating the ender dragon was hard enough, now I also have to get to an end city, live through the shulkers, get to the ship, only to get something I can't even use without grinding for gunpowder for forever? 7) pigs: agree, riding pigs isn't useful. They're great for meat, though. 8) Clock: you are so wrong on this one, holy crap. "Just make a sky thingy so you can see the sky", at y: -11? When I'm in a mine I need to know if it's safe to come up, before I come up. I'm not even going to get started on mobs falling in the hole I conveniently dug so they can come attack me. Right. Did you ever seriously stripmine in survival, before having at least full iron? The first stripmining I do is for iron for full iron. At that point, I have nothing better than stone. I got lost for two weeks one time out in my world. Was just about ready to give up and just start a new life wherever I was when I saw the tip on the loading screen that the compass points to the worldspawn, (I was using it like a real compass that points to true north) and was finally able to make my way back to my castle. That thing has saved me many times

Unfortunately, my world spawn is in a taiga biome making it hard to find recognizable landmarks so I made a pathway from my world spawn to my base making it way easier to find my way back.

Uhh.. I carry a clock with me all the time in the overworld. It is very handy when you are in a building or underground and don't want to go look at the sky and hope there isn't a mountain blocking the position of the sun/moon. If you sleep right as soon as night starts, you don't have to worry about hostile mobs, which is particularly important early game and when working with villagers.

About name tags 19:15 No they're useful for redstone builds or decorative builds that require a mob that can de-spawn Also fishing is a easy way to get lots of them

The only time I have seen the clock actually used is in surviving hundred day video's while they want to keep track of when the day ends.

You missed: Arrow of Healing: Your enemies are dying? Shot them with a healing arrow! Bane of Arthropods: Do you hate bug that much? Projectile protection: They're pretty useful, until 1.9. Fireball: You can't even throw it with your hand, and it is expensive. Golden tools: Can break a block really fast, and breaks pretty fast. Mob heads (except wither skull): You just think it is cool until you realise it doesn't really do anything. You are lucky gravel, you have an use, if you weren't I will put you in this list.
