Excellent Stewart!!! Beautifully played and sung, the right emotional tone for a nostalgic look back at ones life and wondering..... I think that once we get past 50, we tend to look back and see if there was meaning or regret in ones past. As we get older, and get hit with the realization that there is more behind us than in front of us, we delve deeper into the past. Although Ian Anderson was a bit younger, he wrote a very poignant song about the 60's and 70's. As we look at the world today, we are in the same place, did I contribute to the Chaos or let it go unabated. A bit deep for this late at night, but remember, the artist asks us for our attention for the time they have the stage. And Stewart, for that scant 4 minutes, held us in rapt attention. Again, another beautiful, poignant, and well played and sung song. Thank you Stewart!

I often cry when I hear this; I don't know why at 52, I never saw or lived the 60s.

Wow... Must admit, I was skeptical going in that without Ian's incredible harmony you could pull it off. Masterful job - you capture the austerity and sadness that is so elemental to the song. Until yesterday, I hadn't listened to this song in 40 years, what a gem.

Brilliant. One of my favorite IA compositions. For a moment there at the end, I thought you might start into "Bad Eyed and Loveless". Ha!

Thank you so much. Your singing and guitar playing is spot on. Really sparse arrangment but moving ballad nonetheless. Rather similar to Bad Eyed and Loveless, which also deserves your attention.

Wistful indeed. Touching. And as usual, well done! The Too Old album took me quite a long time to appreciate. I can't say exactly why, but I just didn't care for it much. There was something un-Tullish about it for me. The album art turned me off too. Had I only known what surprises were in store with future releases ("A", "Under Wraps" for example), I would have thought nothing of it and considered it a classic instantly. 😂 How do you learn these so quickly and so well?!! Astounding. Keep up the great work, and thanks.

Besides envying your great musical talent, I wish I had your descriptive abilities for the following. Considering I'm not even sure myself what it was about the album I didn't care for, it's very difficult to explain. As you always say, wish me luck! To me there's always been a magical, surreal, escapist quality to the music of Jethro Tull. When I listened to it, I was doing more than just hearing great music. I was living it! When I listened to the early albums, in my youth especially, it was as if entering special private parts of the world open to only a select lucky few who were more than just the casual fans that liked Aqualung. Ones that had a special sort of understanding and connection with this band and the reality that they created for us, through Ian's genius. No matter whether the locales in the mental image were of a VERY foreign (to this New York Yank), London, or obscure English town or city backdrop, or of rainy woodlands and country settings, or even of Kings and Queens and castles, it made for more than just listening to any old rock 'n' roll. Sometimes these places were all sharp and clear, sometimes vague, blurry, fuzzy. Sometimes black & white, other times in full color. But what a blessing it was to have been brought there. Possibly the Too Old album was lacking in this power to transport. It seemed somehow too rooted in the real world to me. I dunno. Maybe. I like it a lot now, so that's a good thing. With your thorough knowledge of the band, your wonderful explanations and descriptions of the songs and your obvious love for both, I have to believe you've been to this wonderful world of which I wrote as well. Yep, come to think of it, I've seen you there. I'm sure of it! 😁🎶 Stay well. Thanks for the tunes! Bob F. P.S. Very few bands also have this ability to "transport" me to their world. Yes is one of those.

I felt exactly the same about it for years. Only recently I picked up a tune on here that was a Steven Wilson re-do. Found a cd online and have been singing along like its an old friend. Maybe Im liking it because of memories and n that year of my life, but Im genuinely liking most of the songs now 🤷‍♂️

Thank you. There are lots of tabs online. I don't use them because I try to play my own arrangements of the whole song across instruments, but they are good starting points. My videos hopefully enable you to see the differences I have to those
