Malaysia and Thailand have both shown interest in joining BRICS, a coalition currently comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The group is expanding, with five new countries-Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE-joining the bloc since January 2024. This expansion aims to enhance the bloc's economic and geopolitical influence, offering new opportunities for member nations to engage in trade and cooperation outside of Western-dominated frameworks.
As of June 2024, both Malaysia and Thailand exhibit significant economic advantages that enhance their positions in the global economy.
The Malaysian economy is projected to grow by 4-5% in 2024, driven by resilient domestic expenditure and a diversified economic base. Malaysia has successfully transitioned from a commodity-based economy to one with robust manufacturing and service sectors.The Thai government has implemented measures to boost liquidity and economic growth, including a proposed $102 billion budget to revive the economy. These measures aim to stimulate domestic demand and support economic recovery.
Malaysia is on track to achieve high-income status between 2024 and 2028, reflecting sustained economic transformation and development. This progress is supported by a low unemployment rate and significant strides in poverty reduction. Additionally, Malaysia’s strategic geographic location and strong geopolitical relationships enhance its trade capabilities, particularly in electronics, automotive, and palm oil production.
Thailand’s robust trade relationships with major economies like China and India position it as a key player in regional and global markets. Exports to these countries include a wide range of products such as automotive parts and chemicals, showcasing Thailand's diversified export base.
In this video, we will examine how the inclusion of Malaysia and Thailand will create mutual benefits for both these countries and the existing BRICS nations.

@@stayprepared2388 Forest city are not sinking....reclaim island didn't even finish yet. Forest city is not central government project but its a state government project own by the Johor Sultan. The only people who are benefitted and loss are them not the whole Malaysia. China is still in construction of the new railway system, take couple more years before its finish. These moves is not just about China or our alignment with China but the whole movement to stop western hegemony, its a long term strategy emits the current world politic situation. what we know for sure that BRICS members are not going to meddle with all members country internal politics like what the US and EU are doing. So basically the members country can do anything in their country without any sanction or pressure from any other brics members unlike the G7 or NATO who constantly want to meddle with local politic, social and economic even ideological of other nations. For example if any of the BRICS nation want to make LGBT illegal, or to make Shariah law the main, they can do so without any hindrance from their other members. Unlike if you join G7 or NATO or aligning with USA, they will start sanctioning you, meddle with your laws, send CIA agent or funding local oppositions and such to topple the goverment like they did many times in Turkey, and the middle east before.

I'm waiting Venuzuela,Cuba and Mexico to join BRICS XL for both strategic as economical reasons and to bring the US and it's cronies economy to it's knees! It would mean that BRICS XL will control 80% of oil reserves and about 60% of natural gas reserves and thus have a great influence on the US and EU economy! Malaysia plans to join the BRICS grouping of emerging nations as it seeks stronger ties with Global South economies across the world, becoming the second Southeast Asian nation after Thailand to start the accession process. BRICS countries hold dialogue with other developing countries, envision further expansion. BRICS held a dialogue with officials from 12 other developing countries, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia and Venezuela with more like-minded partners are set to join the BRICS family. China called on developing countries to uphold universal security and work together to address challenges. Countries should prioritize development and collectively oppose politicizing economic issues, thereby promoting globalization to move toward a more open, inclusive, balanced, and win-win direction. BRICS countries held a conversation with 12 important developing countries with regional representation - Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkey, Mauritania, Cuba, Venezuela, and Bahrain. BRICS+ is an important dialogue platform for BRICS countries to engage with a wide range of emerging markets and developing countries. It has long added vitality and injected momentum into the development of BRICS, and has become a banner of South-South cooperation. The BRICS mechanism is ushering in a new era of larger-scale cooperation, in sharp contrast to the smaller, US-led G7 group. The BRICS+ meeting is a manifestation of the openness and inclusiveness of the BRICS mechanism. It also shows the positioning of the BRICS mechanism - representing emerging countries and developing countries, and speaking for the Global South. BRICS countries are committed to promoting a more just and equitable international order, as well as strengthening unity and cooperation among Global South countries. The US and the West still want to maintain their dominance in the future international order by relying on allies. The Global South has risen rapidly, leading to a fundamental reversal of global economic power. It is time for the Global South to step onto the international stage. At the same time, the spirit of BRICS, which is open, inclusive, and based on cooperation and mutual benefit, has made BRICS increasingly attractive and appealing as it continues to grow stronger. BRICS called for adherence to multilateralism, opposition to unilateralism and protectionism, promoting reform of the international financial architecture, enhancing and improving global governance, and increasing the voice and representation of developing countries. That is why more and more countries are hoping to join BRICS.
