Not sure if it's intentional, it most likely is, knowing it's Martijn we're talking about here. But this video felt different, in a good way. The start of the video was more personal and relaxed. I can totally see this slight of a change make your format a lot better actually. Personal and relaxed intro > work, hiking and whatnot > ending monologue. Definitely a nice way of going about it. When the Border Collie showed up and you were playing with the stick brought back so many memories of my Border (my buddy and driving companion for 17 years). One day when I was picking my daughter up from school, one of the teachers stopped by me and Abygale who was laying by my feet and said “are these dogs smart” and I said in a very conversational tone “Abygale, go get me a stick” and Abygale slowly got up, paused, and walked away. The teacher and I then continued our conversation for a bit. Then here comes Abygale with a stick and dropped it by my feet. The teacher looked at me with curiosity and wonder in her eyes. Probably because I didn’t speak to Abygale with a command or even try to get her attention but just the same tone as I was speaking to the teacher. Border Collies are keen listeners and extremely intelligent. Thanks Martijn for another beautiful Sunday. The ‘girls’ love you as much as we, your faithful subs, do.

If no large, soft brush is available when staining large pieces of wood, dip a rag and rub it quickly, making the stain even throughout. Burn the rags afterwards because they will spontaneously combust with oil based stains. Your overnight timelapse was beautifully done.

i’ve truly loved one man in my life: my former father in law who never raised his voice with me and boy did I deserve more than that many times. I can say I love Martijn as do many I am sure! Dear Martijn, Your channel has always been a tremendous inspiration for me. In fact, you are the catalyst for my love of nature and scenery. I watched your two years on a bike during my sophomore year of high school. Long story short, I hate school. Every day I worked tirelessly for someone else to not even get a return in skills or "education." I had an advanced placement American History class that stole all my weekends. This went on for months. It was absolutely depressing. I begged for summer. I came across your channel on the day I missed out on a debate trip. (I forgot my bag and thought it got stolen. The teacher excused me and I got to skip the trip.) At home, I found your video two years on a bike. It was quiet, reassuring, and visually breathtaking. I never knew what I was getting into. That night, in the darkness of my living room, I watched the video that transformed the trajectory of my life. A fiery passion I never knew I had, found through your video. For the next TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT, I went to bed fantasizing about going on my own bike trip. Waking every morning, no thought for the past or future, entirely separate from the illusions of thoughts and words... Seeing the sunrise, the breeze of air on my skin, the singing of birds among the trees... I LITERALLY could not stop visualizing the video you made and the four total episodes. I was utterly amazed. (I WILL SEE THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!!) Right now I am pursuing freelance copywriting so I can have the wealth to pursue my dreams in life: * Photography * Surfing * Nature * Carpentry All of which I was led to discover through your videos. (I joined a carpentry class because of your videos) I have given up TV, Video Games, KZfaq entertainment, Music, Sleeping in, etc. I live, eat, and breathe copywriting. I have debated writing this to you for the longest time. I never wanted to give the false hope your video would lead to me reaching my dreams but never achieving them. That or trying to be a validation seeker. (gross) Currently, I have the strongest faith in my future. Your videos to me, and likewise hundreds of thousands of people, are a powerful beacon of hope. Peaceful, stress-free, liberating. Every day people are caught up in the hell of purposeless work, an atmosphere of negative people, and then the nightmare of having to repeat that cycle over and over again. Living in a place they hate, around people they hate, doing what they hate... Seeing the results on your cabin feels like a dream. You're in the cabin making food instead of the outdoor kitchen. I am sure there are times you're pinching yourself asking, "Is this real?" That was my thought seeing the latest thumbnails on your videos. Witnessing your skills and humble attitude just in the few minutes of this video, gives me the greatest deal of inspiration toward what is capable in life. What kind of man I can become. The life I could live and make for myself. All I wanted to do was just say THANK YOU. I didn't write this to get a response, honestly, I would rather get NO RESPONSE so this message is utterly selfless. I just wanted to express my gratitude for your work and remind you your channel is much more than mere entertainment.
