Before complaining about the depth, remember that the camera angle is not great, and that the judge is Boris Sheiko himself. Thor was gunning for the ATWR, so it's only fair that strictness was high.

@Top Doge I'm guessing if you cut the range of motion in the squat Hafthor could do 500kg. His weak point, if you can call it that, is his strength out of the hole. Still, for a strongman, this is awesome powerlifting scores.

This KZfaq channel has a lot of potential! But the true key for its success is with its consistency. For any channel to explode and grow in popularity on KZfaq it must favor the algorithm. And to do so is to be consistent. I guess what I’m trying to say is post more videos more often and this channel will grow like wildfire.

My unit in the army was "10th Mountain Division" and we had different things we'd yell to each other for unit pride. One of them was "Mountain!" and I find myself always yelling it when I watch Hafthor compete haha! 'Climb to Glory' my friend! ;)

That 1014lb squat by Thor should have counted. He had depth. The guy before him (1:46) didn't go as deep and it was still a good lift.

Just because one person was judged a good lift doesn't justify another being a good lift. If you pause the frames, his hip crease clearly did not break his knees. I'm sure thor will get it next time.
