Battle between Alexander Kurlovich - Leonid Taranenko - Manfred Nerlinger...
Last session of 1990 European Weightlifting Championships (Aalborg, Denmark). Sadly I only have 90, 100, 110 & +110kg's session, because there were no tv-broadcast about the other categories. In this +110kg's | super-heavyweight category we can see such an athletes like the soviet olympian champions; the great Kurlovich (really good in the snatch) and Taranenko (great in the jerk). As it was excepted Kurlovich won the snatch with 210kg, but Taranenko also made a quite good 205kg (compare to himself at competition), sadly in the clean and jerk Taranenko'd to repeat his 240kg attempt. The young Nerlinger made a really nice performance in the cleand and jerk with a new pr 257,5kg, and with that lift he beat Taranenko and gets silver medal. Kurlovich (RIP) made 3/3 in the jerk and easily wins the gold.

Kurlovich is the best heavy weight lifter of all time, 130 kilos and he was able to lift 260 or even more, the best ever, he lifted 266 and the juries gave him three red lights

If we are talking pound-for-pound, there are other candidates, like Pisarenko, I also like Marchokov at 118kg. If we are talking heaviest weight lifted, there is always Lasha. It's not that simple.

@@HIMCULESfor me its Reza !!! Because he s clean was so easy...even at +260...and he have not good health (Diabete...hight blood pressure ) in despite of that he do over 210 and 260

Видеозаписи нужно загружать по тяжелой атлетике каждый год. Это популяризация среди молодежи россии.а пока везде и всюду футбол. Однобокость. А где наша тяжелая атлетика.чиновники от спорта спят.

Алексеев кажется всегда хорошо относился к Тараненко. Толкач толкача ...

Видно что Тараненко был не в форме. Видимо травмирован. Так то он 245 в толчке начинал. На мире того года он толкнул 255.

its a mixture of strong tasting liquids usually contains a small amount of alcohol, vinegar, spicy herbs etc..

His last effort in the jerk, he made it almost like a stiff-legged deadlift, then over pulled too high, and it came down and crushed him. But he did his thing, and who am I to judge, so: Jiri Zubricky = Greatest lifter ever!

Bullshit. Another example, of the more decorated weightlifter than Naim, who is Pyrros Dimas: He was not abandoned to his drinking by his country, after being used for propaganda. He had financial stability with a career in the military, pursued a politival career and was elected in parliament, even got a job afterwards as the Technical Director for US Weightlifting. So, don't blame the sport, for the mistakes and failures of an individual athlete.
