It wasn't stolen. They caught the hack in "real time" and his software engineers stopped the action immediately. He didn't lose any XRP whatsoever.

As I understand, it's not XRPL wallets being frozen it's the accounts on the CEXs that the funds were sent to.

They freeze the accounts at the exchanges, they can't freeze xrpl.

Hi Lewis, Is there a way I can contact you? I am having some dreadful situations with wallets etc because of the UK regs? Exodus wallet no longer working without any warning etc and my other wallets have so many restrictions I am being locked in. I know it is a lot to ask but I dont know where else to turn. It was not a cold wallet. It was on an exchange. That's a big difference and reason why you should not keep XRP in a hot wallet/Exchange!

They did not. They were attacked by the sec and defended themselves and the whole crypto world benefits from it. Anyone who bought xrp did it knowingly and those that did it to get rich quick did it as they would gamble in Vegas. So stop blaming ripple for your mistakes and man up: take responsibility for your own decisions, even if you decided to blindly invest into something that did not pay off. Ripple never made any promise of quick returns. They are not to blame at all.

@@xtophgerard1169 Ripple reguarly dumps their XRP escrow and drives the price down, then buys it back cheap. But even worse when banks finally adopt Ripple and Ripple makes a fortune, that money will remain in with Ripple and not go to XRP holders. People who have anything going on between their ears will buy Ripple, not XRP.
