You have to follow the money. Even government wants crypto to bull run so they can dump on the masses you mentioned earlier in yr vid. Have an exit strategy!

Tax. Taxation of everything, your income, your investments, your home, your food, your services, any product you need, your entire life is taxed at pretty much every level. Tax is how govts control you from getting rich. Taxing crypto by being able to control on and off ramps and track your money is also now a thing. If you manage to invent a way to make gold out of thin air....you will be taxed on every aspect of that production including capital gains when you sell it. Even solar panels are being taxed now in Australia, yeap, you know the panels the govt pushed with these subsidies to get them installed and the false advertising that it would save the taxpayer money on their electric bill? Well now the companies are taxing the individuals for creating energy by way of putting a tax on it being pushed back into the grid. Govt is fine with this because there will be tax on the charge they charge the individual which will be taxed, then the sold energy money to the company will also be taxed. Everything is being taxed and its not entirely hard to imagine another 20 years from now where they tax you to take a step out of your own home (assuming you are not homeless from all the taxes).

It’s really the big banks controlling the govt putting their boots on the neck of promising crypto projects and retail investors. Owning certain cryptos means owning the roads. If you sell, you will have to pay toll or get off the road in the future. If you hold you get to charge a toll. Stable coin regulation should bring adoption and unseen appreciation for projects but volatility will remain for new and probably most projects, like stocks which have been in ETFs for years now. One day after we have entered the virtuous cycle, we might not use money anymore because we’ll evolve past the current financial paradigm. “The best incentive is no incentive.”

if you invested £100k in the bear market, you should 10x that easily during this bull market and arguably, this kind of money can then be turned into much bigger money, another 10x to £10m they say the first £1m is the hardest to make, and from there, its much easier to make more

You are a wonderful teacher! The fix to the fix is to not use the ETF. The bigger the ETFs the more powerful they become and the more influence they will have in steering policy to close the ramps to self custody. Maybe because the alternatives will be small markets like early days in crypto, there will be opportunity in volatility but it’s likely our last chance to make gains before they “fix” that. Place your bets before it’s too late. Not financial advice. 😅

I don't think it really works like this. I dont think governments have as much control as you give them credit for. They're mostly just a bunch of old geezers LARPing. Someone could have easily applied this same logic as they were getting impatient leading up to the last couple bull runs
