The trial in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery was on its seventh day on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021.
Arbery was shot and killed on Feb. 23, 2020. Cellphone video leaked to the public shows two armed white men in a truck approaching the 25-year-old Black man as he runs down the road. One of the men, later identified as Travis McMichael, and Arbery struggle over McMichael's shotgun before Arbery is shot and collapses.
Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William "Roddy" Bryan, who recorded the video, are all charged with murder in Arbery's death.

Gentlemen, I have a background in law and the first lesson learned is not to take what your opposition is doing personal. What Roddie's lawyer is doing is laying the ground work for his appeal. He's making a motion in court that he will use later to appeal the guilty conviction.

Thankfully this was an easy case but at the same time, acting like these jurors weren't completely aware of the violence that would've occurred had they come back with a not guilty verdict is also ridiculous. They knew their community would be destroyed and that has to weigh on them whether they admit it or not.

It is pretty telling that you did the exact same thing they did. Hopefully you also don't own a firearm, because you are a danger to yourself and those around you with this kind of logic. You forfeit your right to self defense when you chase after a person and then start brandishing your weapon unprovoked. You aren't entitled to protection when you are the aggressor threatening deadly force. That is like a burglar breaking into somebody's house and claiming self defense after shooting and killing the homeowner when attacked. These fucks were in the wrong for attempting to imprison someone unlawfully. Ahmaud was not required to talk or comply with these pieces of human trash, and they did not meet the legal requirement for citizen's arrest. The defense is surprised that this one Judge didn't allow them to continue the whitewashing. It started with responding officers letting murderers leave the crime scene. Get out of here with your social justice bullshit. There is no "whitewashing" or attempted whitewashing in a courtroom. Is that a legal term? A defense attorney is legally required to advocate for his client to the full extent of the law and provide the best defense possible. If an attorney feels that his defendant's right to a fair and impartial jury is being jeopardized by incendiary personalities in the courtroom, he may request that a spectator be removed. Being a spectator is a privilege, not a right. That privilege does NOT outweigh the defendant's right to a fair and impartial jury. If a defense attorney believes that a spectator may prejudice and bias a jury, then he can ask for a removal and, if denied, a mistrial. I believe that the judge made the correct ruling, and that the defense attorney was disrespectful in his diction and tone. However, that does not suggest any whitewashing. You social justice dolts are just as bad as the racist skinheads. Assess the fucking facts, evaluate the evidence, and apply the law to the situation. Don't invoke nonsensical SJW terms like "whitewashing" because your simplistic brain can't offer any real legal analysis.

Defending their clients any way they legally can is literally the defense's job. The problem they have is that neither the law nor the facts are on the side of the defense. Thus aiming for a mistrial was the only route towards saving their clients from a guilty verdict. Fortunately for the justice system, the trial was able to conclude and the Jury came back with the correct verdict. Society is better for the incarceration of 3 violent criminals.
