Hi Becky! Thank you very much for all the information. I am another huge Disney lover 😊. I have 4 kids a 9th grader, 7 grader , First grader and a P-k. We did 3 years of cyber school and this 2019-2020 school year is our first year of homeschool. Can you please make a video explaining how you can give a subject credit ? And how your make the portfolios for the evaluator? . Again Thank you very much for your help. I really love your videos.

I'll be homeschooling a 12th grader, 10th grader, 7th grader and 6th grader. My oldest daughter wants to do graphic design as well. She spends every free moment drawing! She loves piano as well! She hasn't tried any college courses yet, but we just signed her up for a summer college course. We'll see how it goes before adding another her senior year. Yes, we mostly do video/online courses in the high school years.

I don't but I really let her set her own schedule for each lesson. There is a section at the front of the level that gives you an idea of the pace you'll need to set in order to finish the curriculum at various points in the year.

Good video! Our child doesn’t enjoy online classes. Starting 9th in the fall. TT for math for past several years and it isn’t working...he’s not explaining the concepts(started in pre alg)...hard for parent to help then. Love the print out of classes listed. Never heard of manga books. We’re doing Bio 101 Westfield studios and chemistry in kitchen. Amy Mayron does a free home ec that’s awesome.(plain not so plain). Do you have a guide as to when to do high school things,like psat,act, college tours,tech tours,duel,free state monies classes etc?

I just found your channel and really appreciate your high school homeschool info! This 20-21 year is our 5th year homeschooling and my son is starting his 10th grade year. It is getting harder to find reviews and curriculum suggestions as he has gotten older. We are part of a public charter school, so we can’t use religious material. That has been disappointing. We have used different devotionals in the past to at least start our mornings off right! Have a great year!

Nice selection I was homeschooled for 4th 5th and 6th grade (7th through 12th was public) all online schoolwork all computer based quizzes test lessons projects ect I took all 4 core classes and a class all about the bible which was cool (this was done through alpha omega)

My boys are kind of a combination of grade levels. One is 7/8 and the other is 6/7. It just depends on the subject. I'm hoping to get them both up to grade level this year. We haven't tried Distance Learning even though I would like to. They haven't wanted to give it a try. Your daughters choices look great. :)

If you don't do the distance learning with BJU, is it pretty self-directed in the upper grades? Will it be something I need to teach, or is it student led (similar to Apologia)?

From what I've seen, it's still very parent-led in the higher levels. That's actually why we chose something else for my high-schooler's english because I wanted her to be much more independent.
