Oh. my. Gosh. Best freakin' episode eva! So many things in this episode you can't just watch it once. This episode literally blew my mind with all the background-turned-foreground ponies, the gags, references... Fantastic, awesome, brilliant, doesn't describe this episode. 100 outta 10! Thank you M.A. Larson, you brilliant devil, you!
Also, I decided to do this episode, which is a special ep, for my 12,000 subscriber special. I think it's rather fitting. XD

I am so fucking happy we have finally been acknowledged and Hasbro actually gave us something back for sticking with them through all our ridicule. We now have the best episode of any show ever, just for the sole fact that it is about us. We have put so much love and effort into our fandom and Hasbro has given it back to us, and that is something that goes to prove to all the haters that even though we may be "weird", or "Abnormal", or even if they call us names and ridicule us, that we have something to prove our dedication, and to show that we exist and have devoted so much of our time to show our enjoyment and passion to this fandom.

I have to say, I don't mind the fan creation, but I love the idea of Vinyl being mute and still being a DJ. She does a lot of miming and pointing for someone who is perfectly capable of speech. She never spoke in Rainbow Rocks either, or in her short. I think there's wonderful potential for story in that concept, as she doesn't seem to be letting it hold her back. Did she have to over come an sudden onset of a disability, or was she born that way? Also, fan theory that Octy is her sister and one of them was adopted.

This is an awesome episode... I must say this... THE FAN SERVICE IS OVER 9000!!! lol FYI the official names are in the credits. and scarf is a reference to the 4th doctor played by tom baker. Vinyls glasses did slide down to reveal her eyes after they landed in the city hall.

Fun Fact: Around 17:34 (I would just try 17:30 and do it over again if you miss it.) when vinyl hits the twicane, if you pause it at the right moment when the screen flashes, you can find a picture of people wearing horse hats. XD

Expressing herself through dubstep/techno/electric/whatever is a reasonable compensation for being mute. I don't mind if she is mute. It just adds to the diversity in Ponyville. After all, we have Scootaloo(disabled), Muffins(Derpy), AC Turnip Truck(the Hilly Billy), and a freakin' unnamed Mule who Rarity thinks their species are ugly.

Chilly Cave If two Doctors weren't enough, there's a third: the Doc from "Back to the Future" movie (Emmet Latro Brown). The "Great wickering stallions!" catchphrase is very similar to Doc Brown's "Great Scott!". And in the Doctor's lab there's some equipment which resembles some of Doc Brown's inventions: the helmet Derpy wears, with sticks and slinky wires attached to it, is one example. Another one might be a strange-looking device in the background: basically a frame with a bunch of wires passing through it: dunno why, but it reminds me the Flux Capacitor. (Don't hold me on that last one though, it might be a coincidence.)

Good reaction Ranger. Derpy (Muffins) Speaks!! Not only that, but she has a major role in the events of the episode. yay!! Doc (Doctor Whooves) makes references that he's studied science his whole life, centuries really, and he had time travel just about cracked. Come to find out there's a spell for it... who knew? (great pun). Great Whickering Stallions, his bow tie is one doctor, later he's wearing Baker's scarf, and using Alonze!... And at the wedding he's sitting with Rose Luck, who he's been with in the background through many many episodes. Lyra-Bon shipping! Again, a pair of ponies we've seen in the backgrounds, sitting on benches all over ponyville, chatting and eating lunch. And yes, BonBon's original Hasbro name was Sweetie Drops. It's confirmed, Octavia and DJ Pon-3 (Vinyl Scratch) live together! Octavia has a 'British' accent. Vinyl still does not talk... but Hasbro has said she may be Mute, and expresses herself in her music. Just like they have said Scootaloo will never fly due to a birth defect. Besides, if anyone voiced Vinyl other than Jessi Nowacking, the fans would burn down the town. Pinkie Pie is the most random, over energetic pony in history... kinda fun to find out that the laid back Gummie Gator is an existentialist. Oh, confirmed... vinyl does have her own 'bass canon' in ponyville. so many many call backs, most of the ponies on the bass canon ride to town hall were the stallions from Hearts and Hooves Day episode. The Big Libowski ponies, hayseed turnip truck, thunderlane, and others. Just my two cents worth, the Frank Pony
