The Gray Man is chocked full of crazy stunt scenes, twice as many as any other action movie out there so you’d think that there would be double the danger and double the injuries. Well, not exactly! Not when they’re working with total action noob, Ryan Gosling who blew everyone away on set with just how freaking good at stunt choreography he is. Surpassing even the great Chris Evans for his professionality and skill! However, he didn’t get off unscathed and neither did his acting partner. Both injured each other by getting into “little tussles” with and without weapons. The tram sequence was just insane and was far more real than even you may have anticipated. What with the running on top of the tram being completely real and not at all staged. Unbelievable, right? We still don’t trust our own eyes! The train sequence was also pretty crazy which is why they left it for the end of filming. Better if one of your stars is to get injured it be at the end than the beginning, right? Shooting in the aircraft was uncomfortable, but shooting in the back of a trunk was just downright unbearable. Both Ana de Armas and Dhanush were powering through some pretty painful injuries to get their scenes filmed. Whether you’re using your fists or you’re using weapons, any micro adjustments could result in injuries but luckily, the Russo Brothers were working with pros. Having an ex-delta force advisor would have been a nice addition to the team too.
