Hey U have Not done ething wrong! We're human, not perfect & Evryone is entitled to make human mistakes. It takes time to become our confident selves when life can b v confusing all by itself, but we Adjust... Everyone cheeryeup!! It's Xmas Afterall. Let's make 2024 a little nicer perhaps??

No one does everything wrong. We all make mistakes and sometimes bad ones. The trick is that God did not create us perfect but human. Life is our growing time into full bloom like a rose begins asa bud and ends asa glorious spectacle of scent and colour. The things we screw up for one reason or the other, are the thorns on our way to blooming. You will bloom too! Just give yourself time and ask friends to support you on your journey. Sending a hug of support.

I listen to this as Stoically as I can. I have been trying to make myself a stoic honorable man through my disciplines and actions most of my “sentient” life. Last 5 years I have kicked it all into maximum overdrive. Part of living a Stoic life is accept ones shortcomings, weaknesses, laziness, apathy etc. Hearing some of these brings me pride ( jury is still out on me for pride) and others I want to pretend I didnt hear. But I have come face to face with all my shortcomings in recent years- they are still poking their heads in more than I would like, but I am intent on becoming a man that would be a cross between Jesus, a Stoic and Mike Tyson.

Stoicism isn't the absence of expression or feeling or not showing. Stoicism in its simplicity is being able to express and feel everything in life in moderation. To accept what comes your way and to learn from it. Some lessons take multiple experiences to fully understand. Most of these YTbers and other people who spout Stoic says take the parts they identify or choose to express most. Read Marcus's Meditations there's a difference to what he actually says to what is quoted and the interpretation of it actively changed to suit the speakers needs. Taoism and Buddhism are slightly similar to Stoicism in certain ways too.

I would consider myself a stoic but there are certain things about it that I don’t agree with like emotions. I think it’s good to show emotion, and to not blame yourself for feeling emotions but to also control those emotions and not let them go overboard.

I don't know if it's totally correct 💯. Concealing what you really believe can be interpreted or explained in a couple of ways. (1) you are scared of the consequences.(2) you don't really believe it. You're actually lying or you're a hypocrite.
