"Siesta time" is just lunch time. Small shops who have only 1/2 attendants do this stop for lunch, as at that time they're probably not selling anything either. Bikini is indeed a sandwich in BCN, but it's also the swimsuit it is on the rest of the world. A really popular disco in the city started serving these and became really popular, and the name of the disco was Bikini, so the sandwich adopted the name. In other parts of Spain it is called a Mixto (literally "mixed"). 10:26 I mean, our tourists are mostly drunk English who cause problems and cruise shippers who invade streets without really adding any value to the city... It is normal that people hate this particular kind of tourism: we can't even walk through the center anymore!!! Obviously, no one (or at most a really small radical minority) hates every single kind of tourist :) As far as I know (cause I don't go to the beach usually) it's not that all beaches are nudist, but that tops of bikinis are not really necessary. There are indeed specifically nudist beaches, and not having the "down" part outside of those can be indeed kind of strange. 16:23 Having paid vacations is what we like to call decent working conditions xd

Are you really calling closing time «siesta»? Are you so misinformed? People close to have lunch, not to sleep! Kids in kindergartens might have a nap at midday and maybe older people.
