The Saturnian moon, Iapetus, does quite literally have a bright side and a dark side; BUT that's in terms of surface coloration. One side is bright white, and the other side is dark gray. This is why Iapetus is known as "The Two-Faced Moon".

Moon: every location will be lit, but not every day, it will be dark half a month - like everyone knows from the moonphases. Unless its in some craters on the poles, that never get sunlight.

2:20 That’s dumb. If there’s a %100 change we’re gonna die from a huge asteroid, send an arsenal of nukes towards it and try to knock it off course or blow it apart and nuke the smaller chunks away. We have more than enough nukes to destroy earth several times over so an asteroid doesn’t stand a chance. Plus we have HUGE several megaton nukes, not just tiny ones you see in movies. There’s supposedly a gigaton in existence but we couldn’t launch that puppy cause it’s too heavy. Hunkering down does nothing but guarantee absolute death.

In my opinion, Earth is an oblate spheroid and this is also because of sun's gravity acting on the equator with more force as Earth spins. BUT I have no knowledge of astronomical physics, just random elaboration.

The Moon is tidally locked with Earth. In other words, it rotates at the same speed it revolves around the Earth, causing the same side to always face us. We've imaged the dark side of the moon using space probes of course, but we've never been able to look up with a telescope from Earth and see the other side.

We would have an overheated equator, temperate zones and still have caps. Even when the sun is maxed tilted towards the poles, they stay frozen. The only way to have a global temperate zone is to increase the distance from or sun and raise greenhouse gasses which would evenly distribute the heat around the globe. We also would probably die from said gasses but it would work. With no greenhouse gasses, we’d need to be much closer to Venus. We would have a temperate equator and frozen tundras above and below it during the day. At night, global freeze.

@@markusbaker1161 try this. Use one end of a table as the horizon. Then set your eyes on that horizon and slowly elevate yourself. You will notice that because the length of the desk is not infinite or enormous, the horizon will descend as you raise your vantage point. Even those footages which show curve at the horizon with ultra wide angle lens cannot explain why the horizon remain constant if the Earth were curved or a ball

The horizon is an easy example for the earth being round but you flat earth people refuse this. There’s so many other things that point to earth being a sphere but you don’t want to hear it.
