I just took a test ride yesterday (Cb350 Hness 2023 bs7/obd2 model). Felt two glaring shortcomings - the gear ratios and the power delivery. I have experienced riding REs earlier, and they do these both things so much better. The Hness is a long bike, but seating space felt cramped. I also didn't like the exhaust note and riding stance, though that is more of a subjective thing. There are other reasons to doubt Honda: The quality of plastics on the bike controls betrays the premium feeling. The console feels deficient. The horn switch position and placement is a really stupid decision.

The longer gear ratio feels ok to me. I've ridden the bike in heavy traffic in Hyderabad and I was able to manage it without issues. Although some may complain about frequent downshifts in traffic. I do accept this. The power delivery may feel dull as it is a long stroke engine but the bike easily does a speed of 100+ The exhaust note is much different from H'ness and feels like it's modified. The horn placement is typically like what other Japanese manufacturers do, like the Yamaha MT15. On the whole, there are more convincing arguments which go in favour of the Honda CB350 (my personal opinion) 🙂
